This little restaurant in the back streets of pakaranga is a great place for a quick lunch. we had the spicy wontons, lemon grass chicken vermicelli and bbq pork rice noodle rolls. the rice noodle rolls and wontons lacked a bit of flavour but overall quite yum. the lemongrass chicken was sooo good tho, i would definitely recommend getting that if u go to this place. As for the service, our food took quite a while and there was a bit of mix up on our order. It’s also quite a cramped space so coming in small groups is better.

Had the chicken feet (nice and good portion), porridge ( great taste and good portion), siew mai, cheong fun and curry chicken rice (nice coconut milk taste). Their toilet is surprisingly overwhelming, very luxurious design and clean. Overall, had a really nice comfort food after having so many western food during my vacation in nz.

First time trying this branch. We have been to the Hobsonville one which have a more modern look while this one feels more like a traditional asian restaurant seatings. However the food here is very good, can't really complain about any of the dishes. Although they were busy, their service is pretty good. I think one of the server is the owner of this place, he looked after every table very well. I really like the fried churn fun (rice roll), it reminds me what I had back when I was little and was crispy outside and soft and hot inside. Their prawn toast was also very crunchy and not as oily as the other places I've tried. Definitely can't go wrong with this place.

The staff are efficient, polite, and customer friendly. Food is fantastic. Easy order system: Write your dishes down on an order form that corresponds with the menu. Complimentary jug of tea. Empty plates are removed during dining. I find this as part of the great service. Well done, Golden Viet!

The restaurant is quite small and only has outdoor seating. It is located in an industrial area so it is a surprising find. They are only open during the day. They do have quite a few tables and they were mostly full. We got a seat and the menu and filled in the order form at the table and gave it to the waitress. They serve Vietnamese food as well as yum cha items. The food arrived and it was all quite nice. The fried pork and vegetable dumplings were different in that the filling had a tomato base. The siu mai was on par with other places. The rice rolls with wafer and prawns were something that was really delicious and unexpected. I thought it would be with bread but it was with crispy wafers which added a nice texture and flavour to the rice roll. The taro and sago brulee came a close second only because the brulee was more sticky than crunchy. I would definitely come back, especially for the wafer and prawn rice roll. The other dim sum items were also quite tasty and would be interested in trying their Vietnamese dishes.

Genuinely great dimsum with a hearty Vietnamese menu to boot - this is my dream spot. The Lo Bak Go was a highlight! The ambience is great too with dining tables outside under shaded covers.
