Delicious Indian food, the best in East Auckland!! Cozy environment and great service every time, it’s my local favourite. Luckily they deliver to my place in Botany too
Very good location - yummy food and drinks - car park is good too. A must try for authentic Indian cuisine. Highly recommended place in botany area.
Went there recently and I loved it 😍 first time visiting and the guy gave me a discount as they had no combo specials for dinner. I waited for 5 minutes, and the portion size was huge!!! I ordered butter chicken rice and cheesy garlic naan. Was very delicious 😋 will definitely consider going back 🙌
still my favorite Indian restaurant at the moment , haven't found another one better than this yet . not many place can make crazy hot , this is one of the point i love here:)
A pleasent place to have lunch. Been here twice now in the last 6 weeks. 3 of us went first and had a good all round lunch. The food portions were good. A lot of meat and plenty of rice. Especially being lunch we didnt want anything heavy. However the food was really good and we ate the lot. The second time 9 of us went and the consistancy was the same. We even had meals off the evening menu and negotiated a special rate with the Manager who was a good negotiator, however we all came out on top. I think. lol The manager made us feel very welcome and came and checked up on us twice in the 40mins we were there.Although they were not busy, I would recommend phoning up your order and having a chat with the manager first. Just to let him know you are coming and how many. That way they can prepare and and you will not be waiting around to long. Please keep up these Standards "Pride of India"
Got a crave for curry for a while, we found a deal online from Pride Of India. So we rocked up for a early dinner.
Great service! the gent who serve us is very detail, and will ask what/how we like the drinks and dishes.
We ordered a hot lamb vindaloo , I think I taste fresh chilli! A very morish mild chicken biryani! Good portion and Chicken cook to perfect!
And masala tea made just right!
Good price quality food!
Ended up visiting Pride Of India after hunting for a place where we may find some different menu & taste. We love eating out and found that most Indian outlets have got the same menu and very similar taste. This restaurant surprised us with very good customer service and very tasty food. They recommended Tawa lamb and Kadhai naan and we decided to add them to our order. Let me tell you guys, Tawa lamb was just amazing. We also tried Chicken tikka, Chicken tikkaa vindaloo, Malai Kofta and all the dishes proved that they have got one of the best chefs in Auckland. I rated 4.5 just because this place needs a face-lift and a better ambience. If it is to be rated for food only, I would go for 5+Their customer service climbed a step when we got a call on our way back that we have left a shawl behind and he told us that I need not bother going back and it would be dropped off at our place.
we have been looking for a really good Indian Restaurant and we have found it . The service an ambiance was wonderful and the food was brilliant. We will make it our regular
I been to the restaurant for my birthday party. All my friends were happy with my chosen restaurant. Because of there fabulous service and foods. We enjoyed mango lassi and traditional lemon soda. The taste remind me my home country. Dal makhni and cheese chilly was point of attraction and was order again and again. I recommend you go and try once, and you will write the same lines.🍟🍱🍧🍤
Really good quality curry. Good spices and flavors. Very consistent restaurant as well. Quality is very good relative to the price. Good selection of naan and roti to choose from. The staff are extremely friendly as well.
Best food & best service even in busy time. Highly recommended to all. Very friendly & helpfull staff. Indo- chinese & mango lassi amazing. Good quality of food and formost the price is absolutely genuine.. 😊😊😊.... Will come back again...
Ordered takeaway at a certain time and when I arrived on time to collect, I was asked to wait while they made fresh naan. While it was great to have fresh naan there was nobody else in the restaurant so I'm not sure why they didn't make it a few minutes before I arrived to collect... Hubby and I both thought our dishes were average compared to other Indian restaurants although the naan was super fresh and the service was super friendly :)
Who can go pass $10 Indian curry, Pride of India has the dine in special on Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday night.
Tonight we had the butter chicken, lamb saag Josh, and beef korma curries accompanied with basmati rice, a plain naan, cheese and garlic naan and a mango lassi
The Saag Josh was good, didn't feel too bad eating this as the base is pureed spinach and the lamb pulled apart.
The service is really good too. The gentleman is friendly and helpful
Our Indian go-to
Fabulous restaurant...Strongly recommend!!
We dine here or get takeouts regularly and are always impressed. Beautiful tasting curries, fresh naan breads, lasi's and other goodies.
Very reasonable prices!! and to top it off...friendly staff, that will look after you well.
Try them out.
If you like Indian food you'll love this restaurant.
Easy parking.
The Naan bread was the freshest I have ever had.
The generous serving of Tikka Masala was more than even I could consume.
and to top it off the the home made mango ice cream was mmmmmmmm.
The full Monty. Meaning the full Indian experience
Screw Flanders.
Can only vouch for takeaway service and on that note, can't really fault it. Very friendly and easy to understand on the phone. Nice to be greeted by a friendly lady with a big welcoming smile on her face. Food is absolutely delicious .. tried malai kofta, korma and tikka masala so far. Garlic nan is to die for. Well done!
