We had the set shared menu which was just fabulous. Grace does an outstanding job, wonderful friendly staff, accommodating and always smiling. The atmosphere is terrific and food consistently amazing, this is our go to place in Palmerston North.
Amazing service and great pricing. Really enjoyed steamed bao bun and mashed potato. Signature lamb shoulder was great, crispy on the outside and tender inside. Would come again for the duck roll as many people ordered it XD

Definitely recommend booking in advance as it gets quite busy ! The lam shoulder is definitely worth ordering and cauliflower!

I had my birthday dinner at the Fat Farmer and was served by Georgia, a lovely waitress. Georgia was most inviting with supreme service. She was funny and charming and very well spoken. Being my first time at the Fat Farmer, it was a very welcoming atmosphere because of our fantastic waitress!
Great service, brilliant food (highly recommend the bao buns and goats cheese!!) We had the cosiest little seat by the window and just admired the place after finishing our food. Fantastic little place, will be returning.
Was a busy Friday night, service was excellent and drinks, food were brought out quickly and tasted amazing. Great wine list to pair with dishes. Look forward to dining again soon
Great atmosphere..wonderful attentive service..but the the food from an amazing Chef Janet Grey and her staff you have to go!
We spent a night in Palmerston North on route to Napier and after a lot of research we phoned to book a table at the Fat Farmer. We bought our 5 month old daughter in her pram, which wasn't a problem although we were initially given a high table but easily swapped to a low table on request.

Food was amazing. Highly recommend the pork bar, roasted cauliflower and broccolini! Really great portions sizes. Shared between 3 x and still had leftovers! Bit crowded during level 2 and no sign in registration or hand sanitizer that we could see? But great service and food regardless

Just amazing. This is by far one of the best eatery I’ve visited in Palmerston North. Loved the food and the presentation ♥️ staff are super friendly. You might have to wait a little if you go at a busy time but definitely worth it.
