The best Thai place! I had Pad Thai chicken and some spicy egg chicken noodles. Loved it! Thanks for the lovely food, love it 😊 highly recommended!!
Was down here for a business trip and decided to pop in for a quick bite to eat. The staff were incredibly welcoming as soon as you walk through the door.
Had the tom yum noodles and tom yum fried rice. Flavour is excellent. I was told by the manager they make their own tom yum paste.
Definitely worth trying if you're in the area.

The layout was super cute, great service and super fast. The entrees we got were amazing but what really got me good was the food and the huge portions they gave! I didn’t even eat a third of my food. It was honestly delicious and so was the bubble tea. They were happy to organise the food in takeaway containers. I am so excited to go back ! ❤️

Cute little restaraunt, nice staff, aaaammaazziinnggg food and the portion sizes are huge, at least for what I had, I went for lunch and I can say I dont have to cook dinner thats fornsure 💜💜

Fantastic food and friendly staff. We have dined in twice, but get take away meals regularly. The food is alway great. Its a good place to get a wide range of options. They will having a nice meal for all tastebuds.
One of mine and mums favourite places to dine. Have tried various different entrees and meals. Faultless service and meals everytime! Favourite drink is the delicious Iced Chocolate! Highly recommended.

We used to go here all the time before we moved towns - love it! The satay chicken wrap was to die for, I'd get it delivered to Auckland if I could! Lovely service and large menu.
Really good efficient service. The staff really friendly and the meals are really good. Have tried a few dishes here and would recommend foe anyone for a quick service meal esp if you are going across the road for a movie afterwards. I love the bubble tea here also.
Great option for a quick, tasty and reasonably-priced feed. The service is friendly although every time I've been with a group our meals have never come out at the same time. However the food is always really tasty with heaps of menu options and good portion sizes. Reliably quick service if you are wanting a fast meal before a movie or a show or something. The decor is cheap n cheerful but it is always clean.
Chada Thai was the fullest restaurant around but service was still within 10 minutes. Meals were generous. My friend had fried rice which she said was very good. I ordered a laksa, having high expectations of many laksa's many years ago in Sydney. I was not disappointed, it was superb. Will be going back for more any time I can. Thanks Chada Thai.

We were rather worried after walking in here, the place has a rather stale and sad look to it and is in need of some big upgrades in terms of decor.
However the food and service are Fantastic! , they even went the extra mile to sort some things out for our fussy 5 year old.
To many things to list in terms of the good here.. we have been here 5 times in the last couple of months and every dish we have had has been fantastic and fast.
Don't be turned off by the decor, head in and you won't regret it!.
Decided to try Chada Thai after the movies. Nice, clean restaurant. It was reasonably busy, which I took as a good sign. After checking the menu and then placing the order, we were eating in less than five minutes, (I'm not making this up). That is simply awesome service hands down. Staff were friendly and the meals were very tasty. Definitely going back.
The duck curry is amazing. I've found that it's pretty close to the real deal, in terms of Thai cuisine this as good as it gets here in Palmy. The overall experience isn't so bad, but the decor could do with a make over. However, the food here is consistently delicious!!!
went there in Palmerston north for my granddad's 90th birthday for lunch on Tuesday 12th June, 2012. The food was yummy and the drinks where great. there is all kinds of food and drinks for all kinds of people, and also great value for money. i wish there was one in Tauranga.
Very nice Thai restaurant , clean and friendly yet casual. The food is always well cooked and fresh tasting, they appear to have a really professional team in the kitchen, also very well priced for what you get. Great place to take the family.

Good food, friendly staff. We are never disappointed when we come to Chada Thai. The prices are starting to go up unfortunately, but in terms of food, it is still the best Thai restaurant in town.
My partner and I thinks Chada Thai is the best Thai restaurant in Palmerston North. When our friends and family asks us to recommend a place to eat, it's always the first restaurant to pop into our mind. We have tried most of their dishes and we haven't come across a dish that wasn't enjoyable. I personally can't get enough of their Pad Thai and Omellete. The prices are reasonable and I don't remember ever coming out from the restaurant not feeling satisfied with our meal. Definitely one of our favourite places in town :)
I don't normally go to all the trouble to write a review, that is unless it's something that I can't stop raving about.
Since my husband is sick of my going on and on about tonight's meal, I have to post something.
Now, I have to preface this by saying I normally don't like Thai. I've come to realise now, this is because I have just had bad Thai food in the past.
I had Roti and homemade satay.. the BEST roti Ihave ever had, it was soft, slightly sweet with the creamy spicy heat of the satay - gorgeous!
Our table had the green thai curry, ginger chicken, and Pad Thai.
Everything was as fresh as you could get it, the green thai curry had fresh coconut milk, the ginger chicken was just SO incredibly fresh... no one wanted to talk, except to make murmurs of pure delight!
You could close your eyes and be in Phuket very easily... just the most amazing food.
Thank you for a wonderful evening - it was even better than the show.

Mmmm. Very good food, authentic flavours, watch the chilli - Thai hot / Kiwi hot (big difference). Décor made us want to go back to Thailand for another holiday, brought back a lot of memories. The salads are very popular, ingredients fresh and presented well. My chilli fish was cooked well and ample but was too one dimensional needing some other items to provide variety and contrast. Definitely a dish better sharing. Staff are friendly and the menu extensive therefore deciding what you want is difficult as you are spoilt for choice. Meals are starting to creep up in price but that's more reflective of fresh and specialist food costs. Recommend without hesitation.
Moving from auckland ive finally found my Number one resturant. now being a regular with my parner, its the best dine on medium budget...and a mixing meal with upto 6 mates for a catch-up. 20-25dollars pp including a drink to have with your meal and really lovely survice. And take-away what you dont get to finish haha cause my eyes are always bigger than my stomach. Awesome filling meal for the man haha
Just finished our takeaways – what a delicious meal. Vegetables cooked to perfection, the rice just right, and the sauce complete, the meat great. Excellent food.
We dined at the place late last year and were not impressed; the food was greasy and overcooked.
However with this improvement we will be back many times to come ;-)
The food is great, not too oily or salty like in some Asian restaurants. I ordered a birthday cake recently and it was beautiful, highly recommended.
I go here AT LEAST once a week.. I get the chicken noodle soup (N9) and its the best ever.

The place is always busy, service is lovely (especially a guy, I can't remember his name but he chatted to us, gave us recommendations and made sure we had a good time) and the food is good. Big portions and tasty food that comes out quicker than some fast food restaurants I've been too! I love their fried rice and crispy pork. I've been here on multiple dinner dates with friends and it never disappoints. Only criticism is it gets a little loud at points but that's just because it's very busy. Also take note that you have to go to the counter to order. They don't come to you
Came here with a group of 7 on a Sunday night. We hadn't booked but they were very accommodating and moved tables together ro make room for us. The food was very enjoyable and we'll definitely be coming back
Went here for lunch in a group of about 8. The food was very very good for the price, but even better was the service. The waiter we had was possibly the best waiter I've ever had in my life. Fast, efficient, spoke loudly (for my elderly relatives), politely and confidently, checked on us but not to the point of being annoying. That guy is going places! You can tell he loves his job. I wanted to email the restaurant to say all this but couldn't find an email address unfortunately.
Friendly service especially from the cashier. Very fast service. I would recommend to anyone who hasn't made a booking. Food is good the price you pay.
It's clean, cozy, Thai look and feel. The staff are friendly. There was a table that's just being used by other customer but the staff is happy to clean it up quickly as my request. Tom Yum Fried rice and garlic black pepper dish are top notch. Recommended!
Great vegan options which they have a separate menu for. My favourite dish to get is the garlic and black pepper tofu. Staff are friendly, food is always fast to come out and their strawberry soda is delish!
A casual tasty dining experience that will please even the fussiest of friends.
We arrived and seated ourselves and started pouring over the particularly large menu. With so many delicious options on offer (and many vegan and vege and gluten free meals) it was definitely a hard decision. We wandered up to order our food and get drinks from the fridge. Though they did nearly get us ordering bubble tea or one of the myriad of options for drinks they had. The peach soda was tried by the table and unanimously voted delicious.
I decided on the Chicken Green Curry and I don't regret that. It turned up in a good time considering the place was humming with people. Surprising as we were there on a Tuesday night. It came with rice on the side, was super tasty and was a great portion size. I was full at the end of the bowl with only a bit of sauce left (I love to pour it all over my rice and get it soggy). We all left happy and full.
Absolutely would eat there again. Great stuff.
Incredible food and service! Definitely the best Thai food we've had in Palmerston North. Portion sizes were great and we loved every dish we ordered. The Curry puffs, Roti & satay, and Roast Duck noodle soup were just a few of our favorites. Highly recommended restaurant if you value quality Thai food.

Delicious Thai food (both dine-in and takeaway) with excellent customer service even in busy periods. Yellow curry, pad thai with crispy pork, and roasted duck are my favourites.
