The best Korean restaurant in Palmerston North. Food is very delicious. Good service. I have visited multiple times to enjoy the amazing food they cook. Reasonably priced and good quantity serving. It's a good idea to start with the Korean drink "Soju".
If i could describe it in one word, it would be just Wow! The korean charcoal bbq is totally another level of any korean bbq restaurants i've been in so far. Not just food, service and athmosphere is amazing. Highly recommend to anyone travelling or living in Palmy, this place is a must visit stop

Got a takeaway here a few weeks back, absolutely amazing. I got the LA Galbi and the T-Kim - both were very generous portions and amazing flavours. Very friendly and fast service. Need to book a table even on weekday. Very famous and busy place but the staffs are kind and nice. They open the restaurant exactly right on time. We were there 10mins before opening time on raining day but had to wait outside of restaurant. However, great Korean cuisine restaurant and food was good
We had a beautiful evening at GAON. The only thing that could have been improved is the instructions on how to cook / use the little BBQ but otherwise was really great! Service was awesome and a really nice place. Highly recommend!

Amazing place! Loved the atmosphere, the fabulous service and the food experience cooking meat at our table was something I had never experienced before. I can highly recommend GAON Restaurant and look forward to going there again 😃.

This restaurant is just wonderful. Never experienced Korean BBQ before, and now we come here often for celebrations. Awesome service, delicious food and a great atmosphere. What more could you want. (Pics below is the Wagyu for 1 and the Chicken Platter.)
