Food was very tasty and very well executed. Staff were lovely. Highlight for me was the Rosebud cocktails and pork belly. I’ve never had pork belly like that before. Would have given 5 stars but room for improvement. Feedback for management, please ask your staff to ask if guests would like drinks as soon as they’re seated. Waiting 10 mins to receive any type of service is a bit stink. $82 for a share beef that didn’t taste that great and was still mooing, ruined the rating overall, that and the fact I watched the chef put his hands all over the chips to plate up. If you’re not big on people touching your food, def don’t order the chips lol Please don’t take this feedback as negative. Over all lovely first time experience but probably won’t return due to price of the large share platters.

Lovely experience. The food was fantastic, the food did take a while to come out but was well worth the wait. Unfortunately we didn't get dessert as when we were seated we were told our booked table (6pm booking) had been reserved again at 8pm so by the time we finished the meal there was 10 minutes to vacate the table.

For sure the best restaurant I have ever visited in the palmerston north region. Really good , great service and great food. Food had great depth of flavor, and lots of flavor in every element of the dishes we ordered. The fries are probably the best I have ever tasted, however the Korean fried chicken wasn't that amazing. Drinks were good, limited range of cocktails however the drinks were presented great and were tasty. Vibe was great, decor 👌 and lighting was intimate and cozy along with comfortable seats. Great work guys, we will be back

Cool wee spot, absolutely amazing food. Menu was simple but we'll thought out, and the execution of the food was fantastic too. Special mention goes to the Pork Belly which was amazing. Cocktail menu was classic + refreshing. Nice decor too. Probably the best restaurant I've been to in Palmy, too, cut above the rest of them.

Great venue for social dining. Perfect portions for sharing 3-5 plates between people so you get to taste a lot. The mash and the mushrooms were perfect. The snack sized beef tataki was well worth it for the punchy flavour. A good mix of fresh and rich dishes to try out. Would have loved to have tried the lamb racks but it would have been too much for two people plus extra plates. Good wine list. They've done a fantastic job of the fit out compared to some of the other dated places around. If you're lucky there's a chef's table where you get to see all the action in the kitchen! Suitable for all adult age groups. Will have to try the lunch menu out to give the outdoor patio a hoon.

Had the beef tataki and Korean chicken. They were so delicious. The fries had great flavour but maybe could have been abit more crispy. The dessert, of deconstructed lemon pie was nice however the sorbet was very icy and it took at least 15 minutes to arrive which is abit ridiculous. However overall the food had great flavour and was delicious. Service could have been alittle more attentive, other than that, It was a very good experience.

Fantastic experience! The food was great with a good selection to choose from. Definitely try the Korean Chicken and the Poor-kay (how its pronounced) lol. Staff were very welcoming and friendly and took their time to explain different dishes. Would highly recommend!

Delicious share plates on offer here at Provenance. We were informed of a long wait before seating - which was no lie, but we came at peak time on a Friday with no booking, so we were glad to be seated. The mocktails were delicious - we had a Bramble and an Island Breeze. Quality non-alcoholic mixed drinks are always appreciated, and Provenance delivered. When our food came - we weren't disappointed (for the most part) the Broccoli and the Beef tartar were packed with flavour. The San Choy Bau was a bit of a let down. Difficult to eat, and not as tasty as the rest of the food. A bit strange that the share plates were often divided into a prime number of 5, luckily we had good negotiation skills at our table. For desert we had the divine Eton Mess - definitely don't order this one solo. It will feed 2-4 easily. Tasty, fruity and creamy, a great finish to the meal. I recommend checking with the friendly staff to see if you have ordered too much or too little, and observing the portion sizes of your neighbours' orders, the sizing of the varying dishes is a little bit strange.

Amazing! We had the bruschetta and pork for entrees, then the beef, truffle fries and mushrooms. Finally the s’mores dessert. All did not disappoint but the standout dish was definitely the mushrooms. Service was great and drinks menu superb, my mocktail was enough by itself to warrant another visit soon. Can’t wait for next time. Doing palmy proud, love the ethos of using locally sourced food too.

Food was delicious and staff was great! Highlight for me was the poke, and really reminded me of Hawaii poke. Surprisingly the mushrooms were my second favourite but everything was tasty. The cheesecake was a winner too. Wish I took more photos, was too in a rush to dig in 😅 Staff was fun and kept everything light with our table of 12 being quite rowdy... But we're lovely! Would defs trade again
