Delicious fresh hand pulled noodles and the soups are so good. Must try!!
The service is prompt with the food arriving quickly. Their noodles are delicious. You cannot go wrong ordering anything that contains beef, pork or lamb in the dish. Shout out to the spicy noodles with chilli oil and veg. It was good!
The meals look humble but it sure does taste amazing.
My husband and I have been going back for more than five years here to eat . it never let us down, until our little one arrived we still come here, and our toddler loves it. 💕💕
Order #38! A reviewer below suggests #37; they're the same dish but you get a larger order if you get #38. The noodles are so gorgeous I'm sure many dishes will find their proponents, but the braised pork hand-pulled noodles are simply stunning. My primary-school aged daughter likes the wonton soup enough that suffices as a treat after swim class. In answer to a review below, the sanitation card was posted when I last ate there or I wouldn't have eaten there.  It's best for takeaway as the ambiance is, err... best for takeaway.
Lamb soup and hot and spicy beef soup hand pulled noodles were amazing. Great on a rainy day. Noodles are delicious. Going to takeaway today and super hungry thinking about it!
When you have aircon blasting and it’s cold at night. You will want something meaty harty and spicy.
I love their takeaways and meats. So much meat!
delicious too. Great for takeaway Netflix and chill.

Honest Chinese food, and we as always the only pakehas at each of our visits.
Big fan of the stretch noodles with veggies and chili oil! Dumplings in soup are on my favorite list as well.
Best noodles around. Get number 23 for a spicy pork hand pulled noodle dish and thank me later. I have a hilarious time ordering as English isn't their first language so now order using menu numbers only. Really well priced and friendly staff.
Great authentic asian food. Dont let the look and place scare from trying something new. Definitely worth a try . Recommend the Chinese hamburgers love it full of flavor and great taste
Service and food is both incredible! The flavours of the chewy hand pulled noodles is spectacular, thick and long, along with their juicy flavourful meat that you can find in either their chinese burgers with a crispy bun, noodles, or entrees. I am absoloutely obsessed with the taste of their foods, aswell as their friendly staff. Definately reccomend.
Tasty northwestern Chinese food. Try these burgers they are delicious, and also number 1 Xi’an style pita bread soaked in lamb soup.
Love their noodles as well.
Best spicy dry hand pulled noodles in Auckland ! So tasty! I wish I can have em every day haha! Strongly recommend to all who can take spicy.
This is the best lamb noodle soup I have tried in NZ. The broth was perfect, with incredible flavour. My partner, who is from Xinjiang, had a noodle dish that was also great and very authentic.
Stopped by for lunch. The ordering system is a bit different here where you put the item number on the keypad and you hear a tune if you successfully sent it to them. The keypad lists what you've ordered and the current total. If you're still hungry you can just order more by putting in more items.
I was surprised that the hand pulled noodles with pork mince and egg was a soup and it was mouth numbing. Don't be scared at the intense red of the broth since it wasn't very spicy. They use the right balance of Szechuan peppercorns so you get the numbness without the heat. Delicious chewy noodles and nice topping and very cheap (under $10 a bowl).
It's no-fuss, delicious and cheap eat in Panmure. If you do like noddles and spicy food then do pay a visit to this little place. I usually love their noddles soups but this time I ordered a dry mixed noddles with braised pork. It was delicious. The noddles are quite thick and firm so if you like softer noddles then it might be a good idea to consider an thinner option.
My go to noodle joint. I've been ordering from this place over the years and I still can't get enough of their hand pulled xi'an and sinkiang noodles. Highly recommended for first timers. Interior is non existent but who cares. Its the food that matters and the staff are actually friendly compared to most Asian joints.
First time having Xi An food without knowing what kind of food they offer.
The place is like usual restaurant found in Asia with no decor. Customer service was kinda messy as the staff dashing from table to table, slow response to menu request. Hence, feels kinda inexperience.
As I like noodle with soup, I ordered hand pulled noodle with stewed pork soup.
At first, I thought is going to be hot and spicy as the surface of the soup was covered with lots of chili oil. However, it taste more to sweet and sour with a mild hot taste. In fact is kinda delicious full flavor soup. The noodle is quite nice.Â
The taste of the noodle taste near to authentic Xi An food flavor. This restaurant is NOT those Westernized Chinese food joint. What they sell here is more to authentic flavor.
Will be back for other food in the menu.
Would you rather go to a restaurant and have 5+ service and shit food or vice versa? Yes service and decor is non-existent, but that's consistent with the authentic restaurants in Asia. Staff in fact are lovely and not rude at all.
Franchised chain - but I do love Northern Chinese food.. Lamb burger, braised pork with hand pulled noodles and chilli oil with handpulled noodles are AMAZEDBALLS. Dumplings not bad.. highly recommend over most of the other outlets and you can't beat the price. And who cannot love those calculator ordering thingies!!!
This is our local Xi'an Food bar. Like most Chinese eateries, don't expect any outstanding customer service or decor.
The reason my family loves coming here is because of the the hearty meals they serve, that are both good, and well priced.
And Xi'an, most dishes come with 2 size options, with the large option being only $1 extra, you get a lot of food, enough to serve 3 people.
Our go to dish here is the Xi'an style pita bread soaked in lamb soup. I love the chewy texture the bread has. I highly recommend it if you've never tried it before.
The other dishes are also good here, with their noodles being homemade, having a lovely chewy texture to them. Their cold dishes such as the gluten and corned beef are also quite tasty.
Xi'an is an ideal place when you want something hearty that won't break the bank. With one dish ~$11 being enough to feed 2 people very well.

I like to visit some cheap eateries when I'm in a mood for a quick bite. Despite I can cook most Chinese dishes myself,I still like to try some restaurant dishes to compare with mine. It was exciting to detect new tricks there. I find there hand-pulled noodles and stir fired noodles especially tasty. Plus the price is reasonable. So why not give it a try when you just want to have a quick and cheap lunch?
I love this place!! Found this gem about 4 months ago, gave it a try and we never stopped coming back since !!!! Give it a try and you will fall in love with their noodles just like we did !!!
Almost walked right past the place! Food is very good here. We tried 3 of the different hand pulled noodles and 2 Chinese burgers, all were great. Good portion sizes too and prices are fairly cheap at $14-15 per bowl. Will definitely be coming back to try some other dishes! Also don't sleep on the dark plum soup (which is actually just plum juice)
Food was pretty good and came out quickly. It's all self service which could seem like the staff don't care but it's expected that you help yourself.
The place is fairly small so for a large family it would be difficult to fit everyone in. The largest table fits 4 people.
Parking may be difficult depending on what time you go. There are no restaurant specific parks, just the parallel parks on the road.
My first time ordering from the Panmure branch. Have been to the Dominion Rd before. This time we opted for braised pork with hand pulled noodles and pork dumplings in sour soup. Both were outstanding and well packed (it was a takeaway). The hand pulled noodles seem like their USP. Dumplings were pretty good too...esp the soup. Will be going back for sure.
Xi'an foodbar in Panmure is my goto spot for cheap noodles in central-East Auckland. The taste and portion size are good and prices very reasonable. The service is also fast.
The only downside is the ambience, the restaurant is super old and not well maintained. Recently they got matching tables and chairs (before this, it was a random collection)!
A small shop along the main street that serves nice hand pull noodles. A good variety of soup or dried noodles, food is reasonably good with good price
3.5/5 dine in experience (very stuffy during summer, feels like I'm in a tropical country)
5/5 food (noodle, soup, portion, all superb)
Overall, for the price, you can't go wrong unless you sweat a lot and cannot tolerate the heat 🔥
Recommend 🤌
Cheap and tasty. The pork burger was full of flavour and great for a quick snack. The stewed pork with hand pulled noodles was less spicy than we were expecting but there is chilli on the table to add to your dishes. Food comes out quickly and staff are friendly.
Our go to takeaway spot for delicious noodles and dumplings. Dry hand pulled noodles are definitely the go.
Ladies are lovely and easy to deal with.
Best noodles ever!! So soft and chewy delicious!!!!!! We always get Number 37 and the ladies are very sweet, I always try learn Chinese and say thank you!!
A good place to taste Chinese Xi'an food, not huge but full of flavour. Although not very authentic, but impressive. recommend.
