We have organised a party in their party hall india gate it's really spacious and well maintained.Service was excellent and staff is cooperative and disciplined. Food is delicious from snacks to main course and desserts.
I went to this Restaurant on yesterday with my family. I really like the veg Manchurian with gravy.

I must say this restaurant is better for family as its first floor is Clean.Food also very tasty and delicious. Among the best locations in Auckland for traditional Indian Veggie food items. Services and atmosphere is excellent that provides various chaats as well.
I prefered Shivani restaurant because the food is pure vegetarian and I really like the food and services they offered. I enjoyed with my family on last friday. Highly recommended !!!
Great place in Papatoetoe for vegetarian food. Usually busy and a long waiting time for food and drinks. I order the Masala dosa, nice big portion size for one. Great accompaniments with it. Reasonable prices for food here. I also get Samoa w/ chutney on my way out every time, very delicious!

I and my friend come here often as a part of our evening walk and chat. This is a lovely place to hang out with friends and family. We often end up eating too many items from the menu and spend hours together chatting and killing time. Thank you team for always making us feel so comfortable.
I never liked any other vegetarian restaurant as much as liked Shivani. Starting from the whole ambience, to the lip smacking delicacies, everything of the restaurant is absolutely amazing. I am definitely their long term customer and would recommend them to all.
Whenever I visit this restaurant, I have come out with nothing but praises for them. Their sweet selection is absolutely amazing and authentic. I am reminded of India every moment I taste the mouth watering Rasgullas and Jalebis. Keep up the great job team!
I have been there more than 20 times. Never disappointed, good quality food. Never tried sweets so not saying anything about sweets. Must try restaurant in the area.
One of the best chinese food we had in papatoetoe. Service was awesome, ambience was romantic. It was perfect for me and my wife having dinner in shivani.

It has been so long that i have been listening about Shivani on Radio, newspaper and other sources of advertisement. So i could manage time and went with my friend. We ordered Pani-puri and few mains and on dessert. Food was almost fine not too much too say.
Atmosphere and service was just acceptable but not up too mark. They left the main door open in winter season and it was not really acceptable because we were sitting next to door. Whatever all staff member were trying to do really well.
Last but not the least still suggest to everyone to go there and enjoy your pure vegetarian and great food.
This place is perfect for the strict vegetarian eaters as it is a pure vegetarian restaurant. They do yummy samosas for cheap and also good lunch deals!
I had their vegetable curry and honestly found it delicious.
Unfortunately, I would find it hard to go here if I was ordering alone because everything seemed to be in Hindi and little help was provided from staff. Quite hard / weird for a foreigner.

Excellent place for vegans too. Just specify. The place looks clean. The chef understands vegan food . The owner keeps changing. I love the tandoori rotis with mushroom and pea curry. Make sure to specify spicy or mild.
Wow! Me and my friends visited this place this morning and all we can say is that we are definitely going to be regulars now onwards. The new management is so much better and the quality of food and sweets is amazing. Thanks to the staff for being so friendly and polite.
Rip of place .. 4pc of paneer in $10 . And uncooked capsicum.. Gone more worse than bikanerwala. I thought after taking over this place should be more good ..
This the only place i found authentic Indian snacks. Good serving quantity but the customer servise was very poor. If an Indian comes in they have such a bad attitude. I hope they improve that.
We ordered some samosa it was awful. It smelled different and that's how we realised its spoiled 👎
We often order large quantity of somosa however now on we will never be visiting this place. It's a big disappointment & Shame Coz it can be a big risk to someone's health 😒
Amazing food. Just like in Delhi. Bhature could have been less oily though. Decor was nice due to Diwali. Self service restaurant but the staff was courteous to deliver my meals onto the table while we had our starters. Must try - Dal Makhani...yummmmmm.

Lots of parking spots are available as well .

Excellent vegetarian Indian restaurant. Fresh Indian sweets and chat items. Good ambience.
Fresh and Delicious Sweets (मिठाई) and mouth-watering snacks along with north Indian delicacies.
We had ordered Aloo Paratha and Chhole Bhature. Paratha's batter was evenly spreaded over and cooked in tandoor, which brings out the smoky flavour out of it. Chhole Bhature was delightful too, not oily and too smudgy alike other offers.
For मिठाई (Sweets) - just rest assured that you get fresh, made with real ingredients and nicely packed/wrapped way. I often purchased Kaju Katli, Coconut Burfi and Mix Mithai box.
I recommend it for best Indian Sweets and Economical rates for Lunch/Dinner.

My hubby Amit and I are regulars at #Shivanirestuarant Papatoetoe, each weekend. The service is great, staff are friendly and welcoming, the restaurant is clean , and the great variety of Indian vegetarian street food as well as mains - all reasonably priced and promise a taste which will have you coming back for more. Our favourites are the Thalis (platters) and the Indian sweets and their Elaichi chai (cardamom tea). This is a hidden gem in Papatoetoe , with ample parking. Ghevar- an Indian sweet delicacy , which we missed for 20 years as not available normally in NZ, is easily available at Shivani Indian Restaurant. Are you also missing some of your sweet /savoury food memories from India…then why not come to Shivani restaurant, Papatoetoe!!
Such a devine place. The food and personal service was amazing. I’ve never tried Indian sweets before, found them to be very yummy. I will be back next time we’re in Papatoetoe.
Away served fresh food.. we have channa bhatura, dosa but wasnt that crispy , filing was good. My fav one is their palak paneer from

My favourite place to get pani puri, everything from here is always super tasty.
When dining in, you have to go order and pick up from the front.

For Auckland it was good, not quite the authentic S
outh Indian taste of dosa as I have had the real one in South India. But very close.

It's awesome food. Very nice service. People are very friendly. Mostly my dinner I like to have it in shivani Papatoetoe. One of my favourite restaurants. Must try.
