We found this nice cafe while we were cycling in NZ. On that day it rained a lot and we were soaking wet, when we came in. The stuff was very helpful and let us dry inside their cafe. We've had a nice breakfast and really good coffee!!! Thanks again:)

Good food, pleasant atmosphere, super helpful staff. Saturday morning and not too busy in Patea. Travelling companion had a big breakfast type meal, which was tasty and definitely sufficient - it's not easy to fill said travelling companion. By request the staff member kindly made me a chicken salad sandwich, which was fresh & tasty! No hesitation in giving 5 stars and a well earned recommendation :)

The place is something special. Awesome vibe in this small town, grab a nice quiche and a coffee, watch the world pass by for a bit in this comfy wee cafe in Patea.

Under a massive and unexpected influx of customers due to a road accident, they continued to serve everyone with good coffee, good food and plenty of both
