My FAVOURITE place to go to treat myself. Service is always friendly and quick and food is always delicious - the cabinet and its slices are to die for! I have never had a bad experience in all of my visits and have tried out much of both the menu and cabinet. Yesterday I decided I’d try out the chicken pesto and cranberry filo parcel which is now one of my butchers shop favourites🤪 And a slab of ginger crunch which I highly recommend! Will be back soon

My hubby had french toast with bacon n banana we he devoured & I had C Madame served with fried egg on top was devine my hubby finished it as it was so filling thick ham n melted cheese was delicious

Such a funky little place, always packed so pays to ring ahead and book, have been here a few times now for bunch and food is always great, some of the best corn fritters out
The menu on here is different to what was there when I went recently. Have been meaning to go here for a while and glad I finally did! It really is a lovely space out back. Staff were all very friendly and food was great! I had the creamy mushrooms, which were great and plentiful I couldn't finish them. We also had a beef burger which looked epic!!!! And kids pancake which was finished off super quickly! 👌🏼
Lovely little cafe, size is deceiving from road... it's big inside. Good range of cabinet food and menu choices. Was out with hungry teenager who ate my bacon off my sweet corn fritter stack ( which was the best fritters I ever had!) and it was no hassle for our waitress to quickly go and get us some extra bacon 👌. Coffee was good too but the large wasn't big enough. Will be back here for sure. Not badly priced but not cheap.
We've dined in all manner of restaurants and cafés across the world, and never mind Michelin, Metro Peugeot, James Beard and Cordon D'Or awards, WE rate The Butcher's Shop Café right up there among the best of them. Home made, super-tasty and well presented meals in a unique, unpretentious and homely environment, with wonderfully welcoming hospitality and a menu with so many delicious options. Just a 15 minutes drive from our home in Waiuku, for some time now we've had a weekly Saturday lunch booking; that's really saying something when considering all of the dining establishments in the Auckland region. It's home from home for us now. Thank you everyone at The Butcher's Shop - we'll see you again next week. Mary and Steve Millington
Love this place. I took my mother here a while ago and had the corn fritters which were absolutely delicious. Came back today and brought my elderly Aunt as well. She has limited mobility and uses a walker. The staff couldn't have been more helpful. Great food served by friendly, helpful staff in gorgeous surroundings. Can't recommend this place enough. ..love it
We organised my mother's 80th birthday high tea here and we were really impressed. The food was delicious with scones, club sandwiches and tiny frittatas along with cup cakes and slices. They even catered for those of us who were gluten free. The service was excellent and quick but not intrusive in any way. I would definitely recommend this place for a function such as ours. We have also been here for lunch and that was excellent too.
According to my husband Maree at The Butchers makes the best Eggs Benedict Ever! Lovely cafe in the Patumahoe Village with a lovely ambience. Thanks guys!
Love this place, good food and coffee, come here lots with my toddler daughter and love how they have a little kids table with crayons and toy trains. I had the quinoa chicken salad the other day and it was so delicious and a huge portion, will be coming back again and again :)
Loved this little place! Popped in very early one Saturday morning before our daughters rugby game - the cafe wasn't actually "open" but the staff were more than happy to whip up 3 coffees and a hot chocolate. As I waited for my order more people popped there heads in to ask if they were "open" and were invited in there coffee orders taken (they wanted food too so were asked to take a seat) great service & brilliant coffee and so refreshing to see a place willing to go that extra mile for there customers.
We had a great lunch today. It is a fabulous location. The menu is reasonably small but with one of our party requiring a gluten free vegetarian menu they were great. In fact they had a gluten free menu.
A well enjoyed meal! The only slight hiccup was that the poached eggs on one dish were starting to solidify.

Stumbled onto this place by chance and very glad we did so. Has to be the best brunch we've had lately.
The food was real and was cooked to perfection, the coffee was very good and the atmosphere was great.
We live in West Auckland but will definitely be back if we're ever down that way again.

Enjoyed a lovely lunch at The Butchers Shop Cafe today. My husband and I both enjoyed our Portobello Mushrooms, and the kids simply devoured their Bacon & Egg pie! A slice of Louise cake and a Lamington were equally enjoyed. Coffee was very good too (we even ordered another for the drive home). Lovely setting, and a place we will happily frequent as a family again.
Was there on a Sun morning. Quite a family crowd and all having a great time. Good place to chill!
I would rate this cafe 10 out of 10!!! The Best food and the service in the world. Looking forward to my favourite eggs benedict when I am back to the country one day in the futute. Thank you Dale and the Team👏👏👏

Great to return to a place after several yrs and find service/food (all dishes) parking etc just as good as before.
If have to be critical.. Flat white was little hot when served, once cooled down a little, near a 10 out of 10.
We enjoyed a nice family brunch here. The lovely staff were very accomodating, the food was high quality, and the facilities were well kept. The vegetarian and vegan options were delicious and the coffee was great too.

Lovely, quaint shop front. Beautifully presented cabinet food and very yummy large servings of slices. We ordered cooked meals and both loved our choices. Large seating area out the back. Very friendly staff. It's a little strange walking past the kitchen, where staff pick up the food to take to the tables, to get to the seating out back. I feel for the staff negotiating that space with people walking past all the time. Overall great experience and I'll be back for sure.

Great food and friendly service
This is our absolutely favourite cafe in the South Auckland area. The kids menu is so well priced and the adults sweet option is always amazing! We're becoming pickier about where we spend our money these days but we're never disappointed when we come here. If you haven't been, you should give it a go!

This place was an absolute delight, our group of 4 came for brunch and were warned immediately that they had limited staffing and they politely apologized there may be a wait for food which was very transparent - but despite this the service, food and atmosphere was fantastic and prompt! Our server was really good - checked on us just enough and all the food came out exactly the same time and piping hot. Every dish at our table was brilliant - exactly as described and the care from our server & the kitchen team made it easy to eat with peanut allergies and a coeliac in our group. They stock a range of teas and delightful cabinet goods too with awesome coffee (I went back alone for afternoon tea as I couldn't help it). Will be back with family and friends to try the rest of the menu and enjoy the cafe, thank you so much for your excellent hospitality!
