If there is a best fish n chip competition in NZ, pls add your fish to that competition. We ate the best fish ever tasted in the many years on this earth at your shop. The fish was fresh, beautifully battered and cooked to perfection.
We are only visiting in the area but are so glad we tried your food. We ate here two days in a row and are gutted that your closed on Monday but made the most of it on Sunday by ordering two fish each.

The portion sizes were very decent as well.
They got my first order wrong (short by one fish!) And after going back in to query about it the team was very helpful and apologetic.
I got a partial refund for the one fish and they even cooked me up two pieces of fish!
Best local takeaway in this iconic town.
Not sure why the other (older) reviews are so bad. Fish is definitely fresh and chips were not soggy. Would recommend the calamari and kumara chips

Awesome friendly staff, loved they had vegetarian and vegan options. Yum yum yum get in my tum!!!!!
Although we believed we had missed the morning's opening hours, we decided to check out the menu for dinner. When they noticed us outside, they opened up again just to take our order. This is the best takeout place we've gone to, the service is amazing and the food is delicious.

Burgers were amazing - well prepared with fresh ingredients. Battered fish very tasty, generous portions.
Try the cheesy-weesy scoop of fries. Kids loved it (so did the adults!)
Loved their Hawaiian burger! It was really good so we came back the following day before going back to auckland. The price and taste was on point, very worth it. I would definitely visit them whenever we hit pauanui.

Great food, good sized scoop of chips and the burgers were amazing. We ordered our food at 6.40pm, and it was ready by 6.50pm just before closing time.
