Not sure if this place is under new management or not. Either way we went to Twin Palms Cafe this morning and the staff were friendly, the service was good, the breakfasts and coffees were enjoyable. I'm glad we chose to ignore the negative reviews as these guys deserve a chance. Will definitely be back.
Thank heavens for Twin Palms Cafe, especially on a Monday or Tuesday, as it's just about the only place in lovely Pauanui where you can get a morning coffee. Precious aren't we? We had a very nice cuppacino and fresh flavorsome blueberry muffin. Relaxed feel to cafe, pleasant server.
Good service and nice strong coffee. Reasonable prices and simple cabinet food. Really nice outdoor seating.
Food arrived on time and mostly good except for the dry vegetarian bagel. Staff was friendly. All in all it was good. Spent $110 for 3 adults and 2 kids for breakfast.
Wow ! Food excellent!! Ordered the bacon vege soup and pork belly burgers for lunch! Thanks chef !! Then the service from the young staff fabulous . They were working hard !! Very appreciative thanks

Went to this cafe after a big walk around the waterways and was very pleased! The food and smoothies were delicious (the burgers are amazing) and very fast to come out of the kitchen. The only reason this cafe was not a five star rating was because it took a while for the employees to notice/ serve us on the till. Other than that though, a very high quality cafe!
Came here for a coffee this morning. Long black delicious but decaf quite weak. Gorgeous gluten free lemon curd muffin.
Came back for lunch. I had a perfectly fine salmon salad and husband had delicious chimichangas. Pulled beef was great.
Green tea came in nice pot and cups.
Staff really lovely. Served us despite kitchen having just closed.

Tried out the new dinner menu. Kitchen wizzed through the order in no time! Thai Beef Salad was divine! Great prices and staff always helpful, even under pressure. Their coffee is great too!
Just reading the last review and when it comes to labour weekend, the influx of people it’s just so busy that mistakes are going to be made with new staff. It’s just a matter of being patience when it comes to holidays as it’s clearly busy and when you can see the whole cafe is full you have to expect that there’s going to be longer wait times than on a quieter day. In my experience the staff and overall experience is great at twin palms. Such friendly and helpful staff. It’s not fair yelling at the staff who are just trying to do their job and do their best. I’m a frequent customer here and it’s always fantastic food and coffee.

Loved the hot chocolate when I came to Pauanui last time so thrilled to try their new night time menu. All of the food our table got was great. We loved the meat lovers pizza and beef burger - they were fabulous. That together with great service and nice outdoor area made for lovely evening. Would definitely eat here again.
Lovely food and coffee we enjoy our time here but it would be nice for the young girls who serve to smile show some happiness this would go a long way to making this cafe the best experience
Have been here twice while on holiday and found the staff very friendly. They have a good range of alternative milk choices for those who cannot have dairy. The outside area is a beautiful spot to sit eat and drink coffee. Will definitely go back, probably this afternoon 😊

Fantastic addition of covered outdoor seating really upgrades the experience.
