Excellent service. The breakfasts we had were beautifully presented and very tasty. The cabinet food had a great selection as well. Roadworks outside when we visited so a little difficult to access but worth stopping at.
We were here for breakfast. The food and coffee was delicious. Lovely coffee overall. Would come here anytime again.
Amazingly kind people who seem to love their job. Wonderful food and great coffee.
Great food and coffee, friendly staff. Big beast of a coffee machine :)
Excellent food and coffee / tea! This was a delightful find as we were traveling. The food was freshly prepared and absolutely delicious. The deck provided comfortable seating, and the deck blankets available during the cooler rainy weather while we were visiting were warm and cozy. Staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Definitely recommend!
Lovely little cafe. Really enjoyed the ambience and salad
Beautiful setting, friendly service. The food doesn't always taste as good as it looks. The avocado toasts were a bit bland and the eggs Benedict with salmon should have a bit more ... salmon. On the positive side, the date walnut scone was amazing.
This really fantastic cafe offers a wide range of food options and an incredible coffee. The interior is cosy and warm on a winters day and during spring and summer it’s wonderful to be able to sit out on the lawn underneath the trees and enjoy a meal. I highly recommend the coffee and the freshly baked muffins are pretty good too.
Nice menu and cabinet food. Love the coffee designs.
All good, given it’s in the middle of nowhere they do a really good job. Cafe perfection isn’t easy, let alone when you have so many Jaffa’s coming through to please. Turned up after kitchen closed so not sure about menu. Cabinet food all good, coffees all good. Could give a hand with things like sorting high chairs which was expected but didn’t happen, but otherwise hey, good place to stop for a coffee. Will try again during kitchen hours next time.
A delightful and informative stop at this great cafe in Pirongia. Excellent coffee and meals for vegans as well
Best date, maple & walnut scones ever! Super convenient spot to stop at on your journey. We just had to go back for lunch on the way home because the food & service had been so great the day before! Definitely recommend stopping in if you're passing by that way!
The Nest is a gorgeous little Cafe with all food made on the premises, its all healthy and they have good selections. The coffee is excellent, their barrista is a lovely girl Jess who knows what she's doing. Staff are all super friendly.
Lite breakfast was superb. The hash brown was homemade and very tasty. Their coffee was also most enjoyable. Service was commendable, polite and smiley.
Looove this place!! Whenever I am in the area, I deliberately stop here, and I am never disappointed. It ranks as my top 5 cafe's in New Zealand-therefore II gave it a 5 because of the following;
- The date scones and the home-made muffin were phenomenal, like the kind I would imagine my nan would make-but I hazard to say-even better!!
- The coffee was exactly how I love it, hot strong, great coffee, great mocha, and a big serving with chocolate on top-best coffee my hubbie and I have had in New Zealand!! (Check out the photo of the coffee machine - their coffee machine is insanely unique, large and is almost a landmark in itself).
-My bacon, egg and cheese roll - honesty was the best I have ever had, with a nice touch of green salad with balsamic and oil dressing and a swirl of another dressing which appeared to be an oil with a pesto type of dressing swirled around my plate to give it that 5 star appearance. I loved it and so did my hubbie who shared mine.
-I also tried my hubbies bacon and egg quiche - it was also very good, with a good flakey puff pastry, good tasty bacon and egg quiche within the pastry and he also had a pot of sweet chilli sauce and another dipping sauce which was also tasty to go with it also.
The service was like the food - done with love and grace and great attention to servicing the customers.
The decor was really unique, lots of feel good posters, we sat outside and as the day was a little chilly, they had blankets which you could use to put on your legs, while you feasted on their tasty morsels.
All in All, I look forward to tasting more of their delicious food, their delicious cakes, slices and scones - as well as, their kiwi style of friendly fabulous service.
Will definitely put this in our Gps for next time!!!
The coffee (2 large mochas, 2 mains and 1muffin and 1 scone) cost us $44.00 which I thought was excellent value as the food was fabulous.
Great staff, great coffee and fantastic food! Just been for a MTB with my dog and they let him on the deck and brought out some water, so nice 😄. A must stop after every great ride!
This place was a real find. Amazing food & coffee, lovely outdoor garden seating, staff were fantastic. Not so appealing to look at from outside, but once in, great. Will be a regular stop from now on.
It was very good, a bit odd that they didn't have a set menu and only cabnit food but they then prepared the food as if they had made it fresh, adding olds around the outside and setting it up nicely. And the decor was amazing with an old timey fully functional coffee maker.
