On my first visit after years I barely recognized it when I entered this pub. Beautifully refurbished in a rustic hunters look, it's giving it a nice cozy country-pub atmosphere. No surprise that even on a week day this place is buzzing.
Our experience was wonderful - great food and wine consumed beside the dining room fireplace by knowledgeable, friendly staff. This hotel has a lot of very interesting history dating back to early 1800's which has been retained with relics and memorabilia on display.
Stopped by for on the way south. The venison burger is amazing, and the coffee was near perfect. Not too busy so easy the maintain social distance.
Food was good although pricey, service was lovely and all the waitresses were great, although in this alert level they only had order at the bar service which I thought odd
Top little pub, quaintly done up inside also with a good sized beer garden. Comfortable beds, and food was good too. Staff pleasant and helpful even in the busy times.
Good spacing. Warm fire. Friendly table waiting. Reasonable selection. Great beer. Bit pricey.
Name change, 5 stags pub, the hotel is next door. Huge lunch, burger and chips $18, with pint of Guinness $11 to help wash it down. Bit expensive for a luncheon and a pint, male staff was awesome checking everything was okay etc.
Amazing staff, Awesome food great atmosphere... best place to stop at in summer
