Have been coming to the Monarch since I was a kid and never had a bad meal yet. Today was no exception . We hadn’t booked but they made room, food was fantastic, service was great, happily left a tip.
Great place for tasty fish and chips. The fish of the day was gurnard which makes for a great choice with chunky chips. Washed down with a lager made for a great lunch catch up with friends.
The Monach has a nice spot out front in the sun for a long leisurely lunch.
Spur of the moment dinner date that made hubby and I very happy! Generous portion of eye fillet steak for $45, which isn't listed on the menu but rather on the specials board. Cooked perfectly. Pork belly was divine and the cauliflower was delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed our dinner!

Had a wonderful yummy quick service for dinner last night. Food and drinks were quick which was great as we pushing it to get to a movie. Salt and pepper calamari was the best I have had in a while, nice big plate full and the bruschetta was perfect. We will be back!
