Top notch cafe/restaurant. I booked in advance as I was coming from Auckland and I am glad I did because it was crowded. We had Kumara chips, Shrimp Cocktail, Beef burger and a couple of lemon lime and bitters. The food was totally amazing. I can go as far to say this may haven been the best burger I have eaten. Prawns and kumara chips were delicious. Really great evening. Thanks
Positively surprised by how good the food and service were for such a small town.The place was packed, yet noise level was quite comfortable. We were warned to make reservations, which we did only 2 hours in advance. We had the fish of the day, the power bowl and the mussels, all delicious. Highly recommend.
Food isn’t bad, but a little pricy for lunch. But still a good restaurant for lunch.
We visited you guys today, honestly, what a fantastic meal. I had the prawn cocktail, my husband had a ham on the bone sandwich, we had tea and played our game. I've been away having treatment and on our way home hungry, we thought we'd pop in. Good decision. We've had the prawns before and I loved them so much, I told my husband what I wanted straight away, he encouraged me to check the menu, but I knew what I wanted. Our meals were perfect in every way. Thank you so much. You have a great selection of food displayed in your cabinet too. Fabulous food and service.
Came in for lunch and was not disappointed. The portions were good and tasty. Coffee was a little on the weak side for the large size but it was decent.
Would recommend those around the area to give this place a try. Parking available outside as well.
Late booking, they were happy to accommodate our request for two.

Great place to eat, amazing food we had the a shrimp cocktail, followed by chicken burgers, delish!! The staff were so busy and worked so hard but still had time to make sure everything was to our liking. Thoroughly recommend and will return next time we're passing through
Just love it. They make very nice food here. I just try there food first time on way of back home. Breads are really awesome. Most of the time they are very busy. So if you are group of people try to book a table . They got very large car parking with wheelchair friendly access. Great place of food with awesome service.
We stayed in Putaruru for a dance comp. Visit here on our last night. Really wish we had found it sooner. It's so hard to find an amazing place to eat, this place exceeded our expectations. The food was honestly top quality, such beautiful food. Loved it!
Delicious food, friendly service, decent sized teapot and great coffee. The Wooden Farmer was recommended and it didn’t disappoint. Bao buns were superb as was Bushman’s Brekkie
Wow great atmosphere. Table for 10 tonight. Starters was delicious rosemary and garlic bread and mozzarella with bacon bread, and calaramri.We had scotch fillet, salmon, pork belly, chicken burger, and lamb meatballs and ribs. Each plate was cooked to perfection we all liked our steak cooked differently and the cook out did himself. Generous sized meals.price of each plate reflected the quality. Good selection of drinks on offer the raspberry dakery is highly recommended! Very clean establishment with friendly staff. Will absolutely be back. Unsure about all the micro herbs on every meal tho 😁

The creamy pasta chicken, spinach w cashews wasn’t mentioned for me to recommend… so consider it HIGHLY recommended! FRESH pasta!
Went back on the way back to Auckland on Boxing Day and was turned away because they were closing early… it was 2:30 we were soooo bummed!
Went here for a family get together. The meals were good, and everyone enjoyed what they had, it was however really noisy and couldn't enjoy conversation as the group there were oblivious to other patrons. Not the restaurant's fault but they needed reminding
It's an awesome place to stop off and eat. I gave a 4 for the atmosphere as there was hardly anyone there when I called in. I might have been too early for the lunchtime crowd.
