Had a lovely afternoon with family at Mora. We very much enjoyed the atmosphere, beautiful lush garden and gentle summer breeze. Foods were very well presented and creative. Most dishes were on the fusion side, loved the light and fresh tastes which complimented the season. Staffs were very friendly and attentative.
One of the nicest places we been to in NZ, like dining in a secret garden surrounded by nature. The atmosphere was amazing and the food was just as promising. The meat was tender and the variety to chose from was great. Definitely worth the visit and happy to recommend for people travelling and looking for something special. Ready to pay abit for this but it's worth it.
Back garden to dine was lovely on a sunny day. The service was good as was the food.
We wanted to do a wine tasting afterwards and went to the cellar door, where a note directed you back to the restaurant.
Once we went back in we were told to go find the lady with white hair who could do a tasting for us. She was no where to be found so we left to go somewhere else. Was disappointing.
Beautiful food - we really loved the shoulder of lamb. The Bannockburn Chardonnay was enjoyed, and the service was on point. We love coming here. The shoulder of lamb is sooo tender. The twice cooked potatoes is a must!
Amazing food in a beautiful setting. We had a wine tasting here beforehand, and the lovely guy who served us our wine told us about his favourites on the menu and came over afterwards to check on how our meal went. I am still thinking about those potatoes and that lamb shoulder. And even the bread was amazing too. This is perfect for a special treat. Don’t miss it! We will definitely be back when in Queenstown.
Beautiful atmosphere & services. Had the seafood chowder to share as an entree, the beef short ribs for main, poached leeks & roasted maple yams for sides. I must say the poached leeks were the least of my favourites. The honey vanilla Panna cotta was a bit underwhelming too. However, we really enjoyed our lunch there.
The BEST lunch experience in Queenstown hands down.
My husband and I enjoyed an exquisite lunch with the most delightful Rose and Pinot Noir.
The service was absolutely outstanding. The Staff were so friendly and warm and helpful that it was such a pleasure to be in their company. In addition to being so attentive, the Staff moved about with smiles on their faces and spoke beautifully to their lunch guests. 10/10
We had the lamb shoulder which fell off the bone and was to die for. The twice cooked potatoes were incredibly crunchy and tasty and a great compliment with the lamb.
Vicki at the Cellar Door was so knowledgeable and personable. We loved her.
Mora was a highlight of our Queenstown holiday.
Cannot recommend this venue enough. Do yourself a favour and go to Mora for an exceptional lunch and wine/beverage experience. Should be on everyone’s bucket list !!
Beautiful spot for Brunch! If the weather is nice, sit outside under the tree. Everything was delicious - especially the Crispy but soft House Bread with Truffle Butter, Soft Shell crab and the scallop ceviche. Next time we’ll need to go with a bigger group so we can enjoy to Lamb Shoulder (feeds 3-4). Highly recommend and will return. We rounded it off with wine tastings and purchased two bottles that are only sold onsite from Mora Wines in NZ.
Visited Mora for a family lunch on a Monday afternoon and it was outstanding. The food was impeccable, delicious and loved by all. The best meal we have all had for a long time. The salmon, potatoes and lamb were divine. The service, wine and atmosphere were also fantastic. Highly recommend if you are coming to Queenstown/Arrowtown!
One of the most impressive meal we had on our NZ trip. The ambience was absolutely gorgeous (we requested an outdoor seat). Creative and delicious menu. Booking in advance is recommended. If you are in Arrowtown, this place is a must!
