This is probably one of the best restaurant that serve the best food using natural and fresh ingredients. The waiting staffs were really attentive! I came quite early with my fiancée when it was quite empty. Our food came pretty quick and didn’t have to wait long. The crowd filled up an hour later! It showed how busy the place is. You must order the mussels starter (we had the 0.5kg initially) and ordered it again after that. It was so creamy and fresh!! I had the lamb rack which was cooked pink and perfectly tender! My fiancée had the lamb chop which was also good. It’s probably the only restaurant I found so far that serves many variety of lamb 😀 overall it has been great experience and I will definitely recommend to other people for this!
Nice restaurant in the centre of Queenstown. I loved that they support local providers, including wineries and breweries. The food and service were also very good. Menu also has a special Lamb section, for those that love New Zealand lamb
Fantastic restaurant here. Ordered a rack of lamb which was phenomenal. It was cooked to the right doneness and the meat was juicy and tender. The squid was also very well cooked as it wasn’t over cooked. The sauces used on the squid was also fantastic with a fusion of the native NZ cooking and a little taste of indian. And it’s starter size is good enough as a main meal. The staff and sever was really friendly and accommodating bravo!
Ordered the lamb rump, green lipped mussels, beef sirloin. Really good food...lamb was cooked pink and soft. The mussels were just perfectly cooked and not chewy. The fireplace on the ground floor adds a nice cozy atmosphere during winter. Staff are great too. Love it.
The Fat Lamb is a good restaurant with your standard western food. It is not the highest quality, but tasty food you wouldn't knock back. It's definitely worth a visit while you're in Queenstown.
Outstanding food, wine, atmosphere and exceptional quality of service from staff. I'm so happy I took my mom here for dinner on our trip to Queenstown.
I tried the specialities of the restaurant and it was a blast. From starter to the dessert through the main dish, everything was delicious and perfect.
You should book a table if you come to Queenstown.
Best rump roast I've ever had. The mushroom fettuccine was exquisite as well.
Limited, intimate dining space which felt cozy, gives way to great people watching if you sit at the bar or window seats.
7 of us enjoyed dinner together at The Fat Lamb. Everyone agreed the dishes and service were wonderful. Three of us shared the lamb shoulder and it was a delicious filling meal.
Awesome atmosphere and customer service. Some of the best lamb we have ever eaten. I would highly recommend!
