The view is amazing, and staff were friendly and attentive. The food was very good and beautifully plated.
I made a reservation months ago because I saw pictures of the restaurant but I felt they were deceiving. The restaurant is just beyond the lobby of the hotel, and it almost felt like cafe/bar vibes more than a fine dining restaurant. The ambiance just didn’t match the price and our expectations for a romantic dinner.
We came on a recommendation for an amazing view with good food. Had booked months in advance but really it’s a first in best dressed situation. That’s a bit weird. Anyway after a while the manager seated us at the window with the most amazing view over Queenstown & the lake. The food was outstanding as was the service. Was a wonderful place to celebrate. Def worth a visit
The view was amazing! I'd recommend coming during the day time instead of night time as you get the whole lake view. Food wise was good, but not amazing in terms of international fine dining standards. It just feels like something is missing. My cod was slightly salty, but the lamb rump was done beautifully. The service could be a bit more attentive but it was friendly. Probably come back for breakfast next time!
Our anniversary dinner at The Nest was one of the single best culinary and custom service experiences that we’ve ever had. From the moment we walked in the wait staff interacted at a professionalism that we’ve only experienced in 5 star resorts in Italy, and the food was a culinary experience that was second to none.
While I don’t enjoy dramatic or hyperbolic reviews, it’s safe to say this was easily within our top 3 dining experiences and we will come back any time we are in Queenstown.
One of the best dining experiences of our lives!
We went for the degustation menu and the food was simply excellent.
We would like to compliment the staff - every one of them were attentive, helpful, friendly and engaging.
The view was simply gorgeous!
Overall 10/10 experience. We would highly recommend this place for special occasions!
It was a memorable experience, the location and the restaurant itself were outstanding.
Vanessa and the staff looked after us, introducing the chef's dishes with great savoir faire.
We opted for the tasting menu and all the dishes were meticulously prepared, with international flavours blended with local ingredients.
There was a prevalence of seafood options Although also pork, wagyu and lamb were available.
In terms of fine dining experience I was satisfied, and the price for me was perfectly in line with their offerings.
Surely this is a place you want to keep it in mind when you visit Queenstown.
Fantastic experience from start to finish. Friendly staff, great food and an unbelievable view. Honestly, I don't eat at 'fancy' places much but this was WELL worth the money.
Outstanding food and service. We did the degustation menu and would definitely come back again. My favourite was the crayfish muffins. The restaurant also has stunning views out over the water.
What an incredible experience!! The views were stunning, the service was top notch, and the food I'll never forget so of the best I've ever had! If you're in queenstown please visit Nest. The reviews should be a 4.7 or higher for sure!!
We had a reservation at Nest earlier tonight. We arrived and were greeted and assisted by a lovely gentleman who took us to our table. From the moment we arrived, our expectations were exceeded. The staff, the service, the food, the ambience, the comfort and cleanliness was exceptional. Each meal that came out was better than the last. The presentation and plating was so perfect! A huge thank you to the staff there for the most pleasant dining experience. I wish we could replicate Nest in Sydney, Australia.
We dined here on our last night in Queenstown. The decor along with the stunning surrounding views was breathtaking. A really great 3-course dinner with amazing views to end our awesome trip on.
10/10 recommend Nest for a Queenstown fine dining experience. Atmosphere, staff and the pre-fixe menu combined were perfect for celebrating our honeymoon. The market fish and lamb were incredible. Good wine list. Portions are a little small.
It’s the most amazing place in Queenstown we had a lake view every detail perfect. On arrival reception was so great 😌
lovely lo action overlooking the lake and mountains. I had my birthday with a best service, We made best memories there. too relaxing. Definitely recommend in Queenstown.✨
An absolutely unforgettable experience!
From the service, to the food and to the atmosphere everything was phenomenal!
My partner and I went in for the 6 course degustation and it was the best decision ever!
We ended up with 7 plates - 4 surprises from the chef and 3 that we chose on our own.
Each plate was served and described to us with outstanding customer service and beautiful restaurant etiquette!
I’ve had a degustation before and was hesitant to do it again, after my first degustation I thought that the experience was just all about trying weird food for high prices - but doing the degustation at The Nest has really restored my faith! Every plate was absolutely delicious! The flavours worked so well together, the food just melted on your tongue! I can’t even tell you which plate was my favourite because they were all soooo good!
I will now be a bit more optimistic with degustations in the future 😊
Our meal came to $277 for 2x degustations and a bottle of antipodes for the night
Thank you so much The Nest for such an unforgettable experience! We will be back ❤️
We dined at this restaurant for the first time and it didn’t disappoint. They had an amazing view of Lake Wakatipu and the Remarkables. We were greeted by their friendly team Carlos and Oliver. They made sure that our experience was extra special since I was celebrating my birthday. We had Turkish Eggs and Shakshouka. It was very delicious, compliments to the chefs. Truly a must-visit when in Queenstown.
I’ve had both breakfast and dinner here. Overall the restaurant is very stylish, beautiful setting and fantastic service. Coffee at breakfast was heavenly. And the highlight of my stay was watching sunrise while eating my breakfast.
For breakfast I had the smashed avocado on toast, it would’ve been a yummy meal, if it was fresh avocado- I think they used processed/ packaged avo and it just tasted weird. I would suggest taking that dish off the breakfast menu in winter instead of using fake avo.
For dinner I had the 3 course set meal. Everything tasted delicious- salmon entree, lamb rack main, panacotta dessert- all delicious. HOWEVER the servings were small, and I was still hungry despite having a $100 three course meal! I’m a lady and small eater, I can imagine guys would struggle- I suggest not coming hungry to dinner which made me a bit grumpy.
I’ve also had the dark chocolate chilli cake- very yummy, but very spicy!!
We came here for our recent engagement and Kamanas Nest restaurant has no words it is so amazing 😍 A calm relaxing vibe by the snowy mountains , amazing delicious food (best fancy 3 course meal we’ve been to in Queenstown) kind staff, really quick service for the amazing quality you get. 100000/10.
A restaurant with the best view ever. The staff were super friendly. The food however was just average, and although I noted down we were celebrating a birthday occasion in the booking, there was no “birthday” attempt on our dessert or food. But I guess I shouldnt expect the extra miles, so I am not marking the rating down because of this.
