Pig And Whistle Pub - Queenstown - Photo album

I love the name but above and beyond that, the food was good and the brownie for dessert was really good. Pictures are of the fish and chips (maybe not the best in town), steak (described as very good), and chicken parmesan (also described as very good). Service, while good was super slow. By that
A very warm and welcoming Irish style pub. The staff were all lovely and very attentive however we did go for an early dinner. The entree calamari was very nice, well crumbed and fresh. We had the rib eye and bangers & mash for dinner which were both great. They met the exact expectations we had an
After a long day of travelling, I walked downtown to the mall area in search of something to eat. I walked in and found a bar with a nice atmosphere and groups of happy folks. I walked up to the bar, and started chatting with the barkeeper who recommended the supercharger APA, I ordered that and the
Great service, good selection of food and nice atmosphere. Sunday roast was tasty but almost recommend the Bangers & Mash.
Perfect venue for groups of people or if your on your own. Upstairs and downstairs share a warm and cosy atmosphere with plenty of screens to watch your favourite sports. Great selection of beers on rap at a reasonable price. The food menu is another added bonus. Great venue all round
The food was great! Had a roast after a long day of skiing and it was perfect! We went with a big group of people and we’re a bit squashed but it’s alright. The staff were friendly on the most people other than one rude waiter that kept rolling her eyes at us. Would still go back though!
Just stopped in for quick beer. First bar we saw in queenstown.tried the Kilkenny red.smoooth!!! Didn't eat here but had a roady on the back.
Nice place for a family meal. The young one enjoyed his mini cheese burger. The roast beef meal was very tasty. Others had the pie, steak and chicken meals and also enjoyed them. Was a bit noisy to begin with as a crowd in to watch some sport on TV but quietened down eventually.
Love the place. They did offer delicious foods at the reasonable price. It may look expensive for individual.food item, so I'd recommend if you're in a group to order a shared option to maximize it. The location is easy to locate and just within the city center. It is a two-storey building, and we w
Came to the Pig & Whistle Pub for dinner last night. We were lucky enough to be able to just walk in with no booking and were seated and served pretty quickly. I got myself a Cheeseburger and a Coke. The burger are great, good balance of fillings on a good bun, held together nicely and was delicious
Thoroughly enjoyed a family meal undercover with heaters to keep us cosy. The staff were awesome as was the meal.
Definitely seemed to be a go-to place for the 20s crowd to come drink and dance to live music. But, they also have Guinness on tap, lots of big TVs, and 4 pool tables upstairs so there's more to do for the rest of looking to chill out a bit more without being down in the crowd.
We were in on the night the Warriors played the Knights - what an awesome atmosphere ! We’re from Newcastle so sad but so happy for NZ. The staff were incredible never had to wait for service even on such a busy Saturday night. Love the Pig & Whistle
Good experience overall, great pub vibe. Blokes yelling and chanting watching sports. Music pumping from the live band which was excellent and some guy was doing a shoey (skulling a beer from his shoe). Quite a quirky feel to the decor which we thought was quite nice. Service was really good but a f
Bit expensive, but if you stay at Pinewood Lodge. You get 20% off drinks and 10% off food. Turns an ordinary pub into a good location. 4 pool tables upstairs that are good quality.
Very friendly staff, great location (gotta love Queenstown) and relaxing decor. Just an enjoyable place for a quiet beer and snack
