Needed a ramen but most places in Queenstown was closed in the mid afternoon; am so glad to have this option available - took the tonkatsu ramen and it was absolutely wonderful as a respite from the chilly start of spring.
Super yummy authentic Japanese food in Queenstown! The food was so warming and had amazing flavour š Donāt usually leave reviews but was just super happy to find this place!!

I was searching for Japanese food, searched online for my options, and Sushi Box looks like the best
I had a hard time to find them but I'm glad I did:
The lady, real Japanese, was lovely
Some boxes are ready, which is convenient, and yet felt fresh, and yummy
I had prawn combo, and loved it
You can take away easily indeed, but there are also 2 tables, and a bar to sit at
Arigato, Highly recommended!
PS: to find it, look for Stratton House, enter (ground floor) and you're there
Very tasty ramen, great service. I highly recommend this winter in Queenstown, a very warm miso soup. delicious š¤¤
My favourite lunch place in Queenstown. Wonderful staff, authentic delicious food. Greta value. 11/10! Canāt recommend enough.
The best sushi in New Zealand. Very kind and fast staff. I very appreciated it because I have only 30 minutes for my lunch. I think that I will visit this place very often. I look forward to trying dumplings and soups too.
Found this little lunch bar tucked away 1 floor below the casino. The food was amazing and all came out really quick. Totally recommend Japanese Omelet (this is a must as the omelette just melts in your mouth, topped up with delicious curry sauce). We also ordered Ramen and it was much better than Ramen Ramen Restaurant nearby. Will totally come back next time we are in Queenstown :)
Great food and a service with a smile. Small family owned business in the heart of Queenstown. They have hot Ramen and Currys to keep you warm, tasty cold sushi to keep cool in winters. Definitely a good spot for a quick lunch.
Ordered several buns here, omurice, and sushi. Everything was delicious and well priced. Thought it was hilarious the owner said "these are the biggest buns in Queenstown", and not the best haha. They were indeed generously sized, not the best I have had, but definitely not bad.
My wife said the omurice was one of the best she has ever had. My family also enjoyed the sushi we purchased here.
Great little Japanese place in the middle of town. Totally recommended. The owners are so nice and attentive. The flavor of the ramen was very good, with a big portion of pork and noodles. Coming back for more soon!
They have different options like golden Japanese curry, udon and Bao buns.

Can just recommend there šš»
It is not exaggerating that this is the best Sushi shop Iāve ever had in New Zealand! Price is reasonable and the ingredients are fresh! After one bowl of ramen I couldnāt stop myself to buy another bowl ;)
Iāve had their chicken and beef katsu curries, lovely! Friendly staff and theyāve got quite the variety too.
This little place is a favourite go to for a lunch time curry and has been for a long time, however, they did a platter of sushi for lunch for a group of us last week and the feedback from everyone was that it was the best sushi ever! Great job.
Amazing little Japanese food stand in the first floor of a mall. Incredibly friendly, fast, and delicious. Get your food and then walk across the street and eat it at a secluded little park with some ducks as company.
One of the best sushi places I had so far, the fish it's really fresh and the rice is made to perfection. Service from the owner is truly welcoming and friendly. I knew straight after my visit that i would come back the next day and so I did. Thank you
Tip : Don't forget to order the miso soup is gonna warm up your belly on those cold days. āļø
Really hearty Japanese food perfect for the cold weather. Authentic place run by a Japanese couple
