Amazing pizza! Service was fast and everything was fresh and hot. Pizza was the perfect thinness but still very airy, cheese was nice and gooey. The Sal's dipping sauce was delicious! Great place to stop and have lunch!

I'm from New York City. As a true born and raised New Yorker, I can tell you that this pizza is the closest you'll find to the real thing in NZ, and by far the best in the country — I would know. Every time a person from NY eats a slice of pizza, we critique it. We can't help ourselves. It's a subject near and dear to our hearts. It's in our culture, in our blood, in our Italian heritage. That being said, we know when we're getting the real thing. We also know if something's been frozen, isn't fresh or just isn't right. Thankfully, Sal's does pizza well. The crust, the cheese, the sauce, all taste like home. And trust me, I would be the first to tell you if they didn't. I'd put it on par with any average, common NYC pizzeria. Try my favorite, the Manhattan, with pepperoni and mushrooms. My only criticism is that the garlic knots could use a little work. The consistency just isn't right, and they need more garlic. Sal's continues to deliver a quality, consistent product across all of its stores — I've visited the ones in Frankton, Queenstown, Pukekohe, and Mt. Wellington. I'll always stop at Sal's if I see one. It makes the experience of living so far from home just a bit more tolerable.

Sausage was sliced super thin but still an amazing pizza. Didn't have a meatball choice but wasn't worried.

Luke made us a real mean pizza. Got it out in good time and it looked like a work of art.

Great big thin crust pizza without the greasiness of a NY style pizza! We visited when only one guy was on staff. He was super at juggling the taking and the making of orders. He made our pizzas quickly and served it with a smile!

Honestly they have really nice pizzas! Very yummy and New York style indeed!! Their dough and toppings are perfect and their hospitality is amazing. My fiancé dropped our last few slices on the ground by accident and they quickly replaced our slices for free even tho they did not have to nor did we want them to but they are so nice. The establishment gets 5 stars from me Thank you

Ordered the Little Neck Combo (chicken and sausage) for takeaway. The sausage pizza was just made fresh and smelt really good. Love the garlic knotts too. Was told that the wait would be 10-12 mins, but the food came out quicker. The chef even gave 2 bonus garlic knots. The tomato sauce was very nice too. It's not like your usual ketchup, it more like a relish, which tastes more fresh.
