By far the best sausage roll with homemade sauce I've ever tasted...and not too pricey. Great coffee too.

My favourite cafe. Excellent service and traditional recipes, not to mention the home grown produce. Mrs Smiths also caters for people with food allergies and if its not in the cabinet, they will make to order on the spot. (Which they have done for me on several occasions) A must stop on the way to Kaiteri or Takaka. See you tomorrow Thanks Karen , Gina and Lara :-)

We often stop in on our way to or from heading over the Takaka Hill, mostly for an OUTSTANDING cup of coffee (and sometimes a snack ;)) but for the first time today we treated ourselves to a sit down breakfast and YUM! Thank you Karyn, superb as always and LOVELY to see your smiling face :) X Nev & Fiona (1.75 & .25 shot :))

They have traditional things like sausage rolls but new things too like gluten free and keto. Always good quality. I knew the original Mrs Smith, nearly 50 years ago, and she would be happy to see the business now.

Staff were so helpfully with celiac and keto requirements. Breakfasts, hot chocolates, coffees, pies and scones were amazing. Staff were so happy and friendly. Our table of 8 sat outside and they brought blankets to us also. Food and drinks came out very quickly.Would highly reccomend this place and cannot wait to visit again next time I am in nelson.

Amazing coffee and eggs Benedict. Service was great. They saw me roll up on my bike and opened their doors 15 minutes early. It was my last chance for breakfast before the big climbs. Thank you very much.

Cool little cafe that also sells dome fruit and vegetables. We stopped in for a coffee after taking a walk at the Riwaka Resurgence. We were driving through Riwaka and stopped in. Great little cafe. We had some coffees and a cold drink while chilling out. The melting moment cookies were delightfully goid. Staff were real friendly too.

We had the best pies here that were all made in the store. The owner also heard my 96 year old mother say she only wanted a cheese sandwich and had it made at no extra cost. We will definitely be returning to have a pie and the coffee was very good.
