Kai Caff Aye - Rotorua - Photo album

Ordered 2 hangi pies, 1 paua pie, and a hangi. The food is on! Goes straight to the stomach and the heart. Wish I could wake up, roll off my bed and fall face first into this delicious food. The wahine that served us were friendly and helpful.
Looking for more Māori food in town and followed reviews to Kai Caff. We ordered a lovely breakfast of Creamed Puau puff and Chowder Puff and both were delicious, would definitely recommend - only wish is that we got my sauce since it was so good. Best fry bread we’ve had!
Absolutely mean Hangi, so tender and delicious with great people and an open and free atmosphere. The menu had so many attractive options, but we had to go for the hangi, I can not recommend a better place!! Also best fried bread I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing!!!!
🌊 Always love this place when we are in Rotorua. If you love Kaimoana pies then I highly recommend. 🌊
Great place to eat!....nice atmoshere, great & friendly service.
BEST Cream paua pies ate it before could take a photo. Yummy food and great customer service. All round great experience here ☺️
We ordered the mixed breaky Pukana breaky and a paua pie they filled us up soo much we didn't need any Kai till the next day 💯 recommend
Delicious kai. Really enjoyed my pukana bread and the cup of tea was a decent size
Pretty good seafood and raw fish here. They don’t always have Hangi available so check beforehand. Very friendly service and the place had a homely vibe to it.
Came here for breakfast in the April school holidays. Cafe was quiet so service was quick and staff were friendly. Ordered: - Pukana Breakfast…filling, yummy mince, soft and fluffy toast - Paua Pie…amazingly buttery and flaky pastry, tasty filling but I would’ve like more Paua over cream - Seafood C
First time coming to Kai Caff and I had kina on fry bread and my mum had mushrooms on toast . It was worth it 👌 Definitely a taste of home
Just finished there and had the creamed paua with fried bread. Amazing! Love coming home to NZ and enjoying the comfort Kai Moana. Cool little atmosphere and considering only two staff, they both worked well to get the Kai out. Already planning my breakfast for tomorrow when I return 🤗 highly recomm
Paua pies are allowed in WA. Make sure you have a receipt and it has a made in NZ sticker
Lucky to discover the whanau jammin at the Kai Caff Aye, great family atmosphere from tamariki (kids) though to elders, good food (we had paua, raw fish and burgers) and a fair price too. Great friendly staff and good hours.
I got the hangi meal and the kai burger boy oh boy did it hit the spot. If you want a hangi then this is the spot. Fried bread wasn’t as dry as I’m used to but was still yum. Burger was beautifully presented even after Uber eats and everything hot hot hot because of the foil.
Beautiful food and cream Paua pie wow just blow my mind. Awesome service and nice friendly people
It ain't Rotorua without a hangi shop, rated 4 stars coz hangi is soggy & no puha/watercress but the fried bread is off the hook & the place is still liked by others. Maybe ill try the seafood if i ever come back
