Korean food was what we were looking for. Mok Ja opens earlier than other Korean restaurants in Rotorua.
We ordered Prawns stir-fried ,spicy pork, the Ttaeboki. we needed to wait a little for the order but didn't notice the time.
Beautiful bubble tea to accompany our meal. Great service, very friendly, daughter, and dad team.ππ
Awesome Korean food.
I brought my parents and we all 3 say "delicious" again and again.

I was looking for a nice dinner for my last night in town, checked online to find a good option, and this one looked particularly good
Having just spent 3 months in South Korea, I had become quite an expert at Korean food
So when I came in, I immediately could recognize their typical/authentic Korean food
I decided to ask for food recommendations though, more out of curiosity, and beef bulgogi and pop pop chicken were mentioned to me
I opted for the beef bulgogi... And to my great surprise, when the food came in, I was given some pop pop chicken in addition so I could try it too, how amazing!
And as much as I liked my beef bulgogi, just like I knew it, pop pop chicken was actually super yummy, I would even dare to say even better than any chicken meals I had in Korea
As for the drink, I went for bubble creamy taro, great one too (if you have never tried taro, do!)
In summary, yummy food, lovely staff, authentic Korean cuisine
Highly recommend!
The best fried rice I've had in a long time and I can't believe I found it late night last minute of all places but in Rotorua.
We also had pop pop chicken and bimbimbup which we both yummy as.
The chef was lovely and so were the team.
Definitely be back and everyone should go back for a feed!
Amazing Korean food, good flavours, service was awesome well recommended.
Yummy food and good portion of it. Only have 4+ tables provided.
The bulgogi and teriyaki chicken was delicious. Well cooked and not too salty. Only disappointment was the Thai milk tea which tasted like water. Everything else was delicious :)
Staff were very pleasant.
This place surprised me, in a very good way! Wow, the bibimbap was so yummy. I mean, I live next to Korean town. This place can compete with a lot of real Korean restaurants. It doesnβt look like much on the outside. Just wait until you taste the food. The chef clearly takes pride in his cooking because you can just taste the authenticity and all the delicious flavors!!!

Great Asian fusion restaurant that offers a wonderful atmosphere with friendly service. Adequately priced for delectable meals - I/We are first time diners and thoroughly enjoyed our meal (Pop Pop Chicken with a Steamed Teriyaki Bun & Salmon Bibimbap with an Egg & Miso Soup), we will definitely be returning.
Recommend for all to try ππ
Hot summer's Sunday afternoon and decided to stop in here for bite to eat. So glad we did. The Pop Pop Chicken was succulent and tasty, the salad fresh and the Beef Bulgogi was a perfect union of Korean flavors. The place had a good vibe and the staff friendly. Happy to give this team 5 stars plus
Great Korean food, a simple place just to have a quick bite
Great variety of yummy Korean food. Simple atmosphere as it is also a takeaway shop, but has sitting space inside and prices are decent (around $15 for a main dish). On the main street and walking distance from main local attractions. Nice and fulfilling after a long day out and about. I'd come back! π
I love this eatery. We eat here often. We live for the whole menu but I always gravitate to the Bibimbap and my husband loves the Beef Bulgogi. They have very friendly service and the restaurant has a nice vibe. As I write this I have placed an order for Seafood Ramyun so I am excited. I absolutely recommend this place.
Just perfect cooked rice with perfect stirfired pork with Vegetable. Love Love.
Both the pork and beef bibimbap were outstanding, and the staff lovely and very accommodating, even changing the egg-to-veg ratio in the fried rice for our toddler. Thoroughly recommend if you want good Korean kai, value for money, and a cost casual vibe (esp with kids!)
The best korean food so far on my trip. Ordered the beef bulgogi and kimchi fried rice. Generous portion and best of all had a wok taste! Thumbs up to the chefs for filling our happy tummies!
