Came here on a Tuesday for their pub quiz and couldn’t resist ordering their $15 burger special.
Weekly changing burger + fries for this price you really can’t beat. Aside from the price it was delicious. Warm brioche bun and when I had it, it was buffalo chicken and was juicy with a kick of spice. I’d be happy to pay full price for this!
Just wanted to say that the service here was amazing! Was checked on often without feeling over bearing, the main guy (maybe owner) was so welcoming and friendly. We had a few drinks and shared the fries and calamari between 2 of us. Both flavoured really well and a range of sauces for dipping was provided too. Pizzas looked really good and large size, so I’m keen to come back and try those next. Monday night wasn’t super busy, but usually packed every other night.
A place that will never have you walking out unsatisfied. From the delicious food to the lovely staff, it’s definitely somewhere I come back to on the regular. Highly recommend!!!
Food is awesome here. Staff a genuine and very helpful. Will be returning here again soon. Great with kids as well which is a win win for me and my tribe.
Nothing better than a Friday's happy hour by going to this place. A little bit crowded but is definitely worth it.
Nice beers, nice wines, amazing atmosphere and a top shelf costumer service.
My first try at this place was beer and chips.
I felt like coming back again to try more and really enjoyed my Veggie.burger and a Pizza.
Good place to hangout with friends and family.
Cheerful staff and a quick service.
Went to Lord Kitchener last Tuesday with my work mates and had a superb time. The atmosphere was super and it was super busy. The beer was awesome. The food was palatable. We really enjoyed the evening and all of us will certainly return. Be hard pressed to find another place to match the atmosphere here. Very professional staff although we did feel perhaps one more person on the floor would have been better as it was quite busy. Parking is also a breeze.
We wanted to try out Wednesday steak for the first visit but it was all sold out, and fortunately for the second visit, we booked before going. It was good for the price we paid. Good ambience.

Went there twice in a week for lunch and both the times were lovely.
The pulled pork tacos were spot on 😋
Loved the fried chicken as well as their curly fries.
Staff was polite.
Could get a bit noisy on a friday/Sat evening, but it's a pub.
Parking could get a bit tricky considering it's among 8,9 different restaurants around and it's right in the heart of Sandringham.
Would definitely go back for the food & drink.
Decent choice of IPA's & Ciders.

Amazing ambience and great service!! The snacks are really yummy especially house cut chips with vindaloo mayo. The pizzas are a must try as well
Good food and great service 👍 my new local! Good central location with super easy parking. The steak with mushroom sauce is definitely a must try!
Excellent service, great specials. We felt really welcomed and taken care of . The owner looked after us extremely well and the food was really nice as well. Very nice place.
Nice place for decent price jugs with good atmosphere! Foods is bit expensive but quality and taste is really good. If someone looking for chill and relax place to have few drinks perfect place
Really enjoyed my time here with my work colleagues, awesome services & food platters were amazing.

Favourite pub to go to after work - great vibes, great snacks, team is so friendly and today I found out they only use biodegradable straws! So awesome
Went there for their $20 ribs deal, what a meal it was. You get chips, slaw, 3 pork ribs, 3 beefs and 3 lamb ribs and they were delicious. Pork were my favourite, followed by beef then lamb. Also had their hot wings and squid, they were nice but pricey for what we paid for them. Also had a Jameson Dry, but it had no fizz, soft drink was flat but other than that, its a Nice place, good staff, nice food. Would definitely go back again.
Thursday night dinner for four after work was a treat. Booked the table in advance which saved any hassles. Shared a plate of delicious ribs amongst us four with drinks before delving in to the mains. Had a variety of dishes between us and couldn’t fault them. Jerk chicken was top notch as was the risotto and the pizza wasn’t half bad either. Will definitely be back for a low stress post work dinner and drinks. Service was also excellent.
Great beer and great food. Nice lively atmosphere too, good addition to Sandringham. The tacos were surprisingly delicious! Lots of fillings, generous with avocado too.
Great service great food and they know how to make a pretty good Bloody Mary. I had the crispy skin salmon which was divine! Will definitely be back.
Excellent spot for coffee and dessert in the heart of Sandringham. I love the modernized "English" vibe, where the decor is both chic, but also traditionally warm and inviting. The music was soothing, creating a haven where i could escape the bustle of a central suburb (on a terribly rainy, windy day). Seeking comfort, I had a short Machiato and a sticky date pudding, which by far is the best i have ever had, and i have had many! Three date cakes stacked on top of runny caramel, with two cornels of chilled toffee mascarpone and a generous serving of creme angalise. The service was friendly and attentive. For the hour that i spent there, i had a really great experience. Next time, ill try something off the menu, which looks really appealing with its listings of hearty food that I'm sure will satisfy.
Great vibe, always buzzing. Great service and very friendly staff. Good selection of crafts. Had brothers pilsner on the jug. Didn't get a change to order any food but will be back soon
This place is a great place for catching up with friends. It has a great vibe and efficient customer service. I ordered the Yorkshire pudding with beef. This was typical pub grub. My friend ordered the bangers & mash which looked delicious. For dessert the crispy donut is nice & hot definitely recommend.
My wife and I had dinner here on Saturday
It was quite busy when we arrived
But the staff dealt with us very well indeed
I had the Chicken with Black Pudding and Mash/Gravy
It was excellent as were the Erdinger beers
My better half had the Fish & Chips which were quite a handfulThe Fish was very good and it came with Mushy Peas which I love and was offered
I would recommend the Lord
Love Lord Kitchener. Excellent, attentive service, very good and inventive cocktail selection. The menu pitches as British pub grub but I honestly think it's the best Gastro-pub (if that's still a word) in Auckland! Very generous proportions, well priced and great tasting food. A fantastic addition to Sandringham.
Recent visit here and really happy. Went a bit overboard with the ordering so ended up being a pricey lunch but we left happy. Drawn to it as Brit as it had an appealing menu. Started with the scotch egg which we shared. Underestimated the size of it. Was quite massive for what we'd ordered as a starter even between us both. Delicious though. Would have again but as a single option. Fish and chips were well cooked and crispy and really nice to see a proper bit of gammon on the menu. So British... loved it. Will be back for sure.. especially to try the chip butty. Staff very nice , not too in your face which I appreciate l.
The Huskies are always pretty quick to sniff out and latch onto the new eateries that regularly pop up around Auckland. However, this visit set a new precedent for the Huskies – a genuine opening day! Joined by one of our favourite long-time clients, Cara from St. Paul's, the Huskies made their way down Sandringham Road to the suburb's latest pub, Lord Kitchener. Arriving shortly after the official opening time of 12pm, we found ourselves amongst a near-capacity crowd.
Lord Kitchener pitches itself as Sandringham's new 'local' – a British 'gastro pub'. There was no shortage of meat-based dishes – steaks, bangers-n-mash and an ominous looking beef burger. Unsurprisingly for opening day , the wait times were lengthy – 1.25 hours in our case. Feedback amongst the Huskies was mixed, the restaurant particularly loud and the scotch egg particularly a bit hard work. However, with nice indoor-outdoor flow and fireplaces, this pub is likely to become a popular local for many Sandringham-ers year round we expect.

Had heard mixed reviews about Lord Kitchener but I think that may have been teething troubles early on as we really enjoyed our night.
It was really busy when we arrived so we sat on the couches until a table was free. Service was good.
We tried a range of cocktails & wines, and started with the chips which are nice & chunky & come with a curry seasoning on them. Very tasty.
For our meals we had the chicken with cheesy mash, mushrooms & blood sausage, the lamb salad with beetroot feta & tabbouleh, and the beef burger. All were well presented & tasty. Only thing missing really was the dessert menu which was small & lacking a few options so we went elsewhere. Coffee was average too, but I totally get that you don't go to a bar for coffee.
Cocktails were devine - perfectly balanced, full of flavour & presented well.
Finally a Pub in the locality dominated by Indian Restaurants. Love love love the open to street approach. I noticed this place when it was about to open and first thing came to my mind- "This can't be just a usual restaurant," and damn right it isn't. We went for drinks here last evening and mind you I am yet try their food which I am eager to. They have $20 special Sunday Roast- Can't wait to try that.
Coming to the ambiance of the club, its vibrant buzzy and all about positivity which comes through the staff who is serving you with big smiles on their faces. (p.s.- check out the quotes on their t shirts-so quirky).
The big red door is difficult to miss adding to the british vibe of the place. They actually have a great variety of Beer and liquor drinks unfortunately just one Cider which I don't mind but it could be important to some.
Lastly their gallery to the washroom, the parrot wallpaper is so British so ethnic- coming back real soon. Highly recommend :)
Finally! The pub we have been waiting for in our little village. Fantastic for after work drinks on Friday or lazy Sunday afternoons grazing on their range of good English pub food. The Scotch Egg and Pot Pie were awesome and we can't wait to go back for a chip buttie! The beer and wine list is great with a rotating craft beer tap - it was Brothers this week which is one of our favourites. This is going to be a busy spot no matter what day but the staff are super accommodating and service is fantastic. All within walking distance from our house, what more could we ask for!
Just went here for lunch, and we both tried the giant Yorkshire pudding with bangers and mash. Damn, that was delicious and MASSIVE! It was a little pricey for lunch ($25 or $26 I think) but we DEFINITELY got our money's worth. The gravy was really nice as was the Yorkshire pudd. The onions were nice and tangy which cut through well, and the sausages were herbed in some (good) way. Quick service, friendly staff and wasn't too busy - even though it's Labour Day and barely anything is open. Give it a try with friends and family.
Celebrated a family member’s birthday and the food tasted like home. We ordered 4 Sunday Roast Dinners with huge Yorkshire puddings and gravy and left with full bellies and plenty to take away. Wait staff were great and checked in on us regularly. Will happily return.
Stopped in on a whim and was absolutely delighted! Jason, who we later found out is the owner, was awesome and had a great gin selection (among other drink selections). The menu is full of elevated bar and pub food. They also played the women's world cup quarter final. While the game didn't go the way we were hoping, we had some good food and drink to console us.
Good spot for a pint or a meal. I had a tasty cheeseburger, which came with thinly cut fries. Good selection of draft beer (draught beer?)
Two fireplaces - one inside and one in the terrace, which also has heat lamps for the winter.
Friendly staff and efficient surface. Can be a bit tricky to park. I parles in Calgary and walked a block to avoid the main avenue.
Lots of seating. Large screen TVs for watching sports, but not obnoxiously loud or rowdy. Family friendly, with large tables to accommodate groups.
We had an excellent time, and incredible drinks mixed by Jason. His service was top notch and drinks even better, not all pictured, regrettably.
Highly recommend!
Ordered the pork belly roast. The food was great. They could have used a bit more meat. Made up with lots of veges and a huge yorkshire pudding!
Wow! Probably one of the best dining experiences I’ve had. The staff were friendly, funny and conversational. The food was excellent, drinks and cocktails delicious. 10/10 first time dining here, will definitely come again.
This is my local, I come here often. The staff are amazing it is busy but also friendly and I feel safe and welcome. They have a variety of seating options inside and outside. The menu is well designed they have daily specials. This is my go to place for after work drinks. Never disappointed.
Had a few quick beers and some wings for a Friday arvo...
+Tiger on tap, yuss!
+Hazys if that's what you are into!
+$1 wings on Friday, (Buffalo or BBQ), good crispy skin, great sauce, perfect!
+Curly Fries with Vindaloo mayo! (Great combo)
+Service 10/10 (or 5/5).
Definitely coming back, well done team
Came here to this place to celebrate my 21st birthday with my friends and family. I am absolutely amazed how great the service, food and the staff were. Nothing but great things for this place. Highly recommend this place !!!
Great food served to all my friends and family. Bar was great with a great range of beverages. The staff were great as well. Made my night stress free and it ran smoothly. Cheers team!! Coming back for sure !
My partner and I came here yesterday for a drink and some fries. The experience was great, all of the staff were so lovely and accomodating. Our server, Stefani (if that’s how you spell it), was amazing. Drinks and food were great, definitely will be coming here again!
