Miann definitely know how to dessert💯. I recommend the white hot chocolate if you’re after something decadent and velvety. The bomb Alaska waffle is the perfect dessert to end the night, the combination of sweet and citrus is amazing! Hoping to book the glass house next time for pretty experience
Miann's dessert is always my favourite. The new outlet is near St lukes with special environment. Friendly service. It seems that the dessert is not good as the one in fort street. But I still will come back, it is a cafe suitable for take photos.

Miann is a pro at chocolate drinks & this Smoked Hot Chocolate is no exception. The intense combination of smoke 💨 & dark chocolate 🍫 (𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘢𝘭𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴 𝘰𝘱𝘵 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘮𝘪𝘭𝘬 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘤𝘰 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶’𝘳𝘦 𝘢 𝘸𝘦𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘦 𝘣𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘦𝘺 🙊 𝘫𝘬𝘴 🤣) pairs so well with the contrasting rich cream underneath as everything melts together & becomes this cup of 𝚙𝚞𝚛𝚎 𝚍𝚎𝚌𝚊𝚍𝚎𝚗𝚌𝚎 you know you deserve 🥰
Aside from Miann’s enticing a la carte options, also have a wide range of cabinet desserts with ice cream 🍨, macarons, cakes 🍰 , and even cookies 🍪 & teas 🍵 which are perfect as gifts 🎁 If you decide to pay a visit, I recommend the Morningside branch since it also has a super cute mini chocolate factory 🍫🏭 here! 💓

ordered a Fiji island hot chocolate and a NY cheese cake. Hot chocolate is good. It is not like hot chocolate we usually have but will coconut flavour. Will try something else next time.
The BEST place you can go if you are a true chocolate lover!! Love the food (and the drinks), the ambience, and the service.
Note: You may need to pre-book the table inside the glass house. There are also several meal packages that come with the booking, and it is totally worth it. I came home with a “goodie bag” consisting of a bar of chocolate and a slice of their fabulous cake. Look forward to come back again.
The staff is so friendly, the food was amazing! Totally recommend this place and also the glasshouse is a great addition for a more intimated experience
Could never say no to Miann’s desserts.
I’m a huge fan of their pecan and maple glazed donut, and recommended it to every friend and family of mine 🤣
Dulce de leche & macadamia petit gateaux
Very smooth and delicate.
Mochaccino petit gateaux
Dark chocolate lovers shouldn’t miss this.
Baklava gelato
So good! One of my favorite flavor
Fiji chocolate & pecan cacao gelato
Rich chocolate for 🍫 lovers again.
Btw thanks for the Easter egg 🐣
P.s I had fasten Fasten the safety belt on the cake cuz worried that they may slide on the way home. BUT cakes were sticked to the box they were safe (OMG Detail kills me 😍)
Always got nice delicious desserts and beautiful chocolate. Environment is nice and Service pretty nice and friendly. I was enjoyed my time here at miann
Great desserts as usual from Miann, expecting nothing less really. The inside can be quite hot though, maybe air con wasn’t working. However the outside is nice and breezy.
Awsome place, love the tasting plater of yummy chocolates. Must try the hot chocolate!!! Wonderful service and friendly staff. Great for both sweet tooth and savoury person. Libe the outdoor sitting area. But can be hard to find a car park. Would highly recommend this place!! 😍 😘
We went in an visited this gorgeous place on Friday 23rd August evening, celebration for the end of the week an also a belated birthday celebration, the staff are so friendly an kind we ordered some delicious assortment of different macaroons :)
along with a lemon tart so good! we will be coming here again soon!

Came here for ice-cream. The ice-cream was yummy with bits of the fruit in them. It’s not overly sweet which is how I like them. Cost $16 for 1 scoop in cup and 1 scoop in cone. The venue looks very inviting and you could see the chocolate factory next door.

Miann’s chocolate factory and Morningside location is an awesome experience. It smells heavenly and the space is cozy. I love how Miann changes up their menu frequently to what’s in season, there’s always something new to try and I really have to give it to them for their creative genius because it’s all so unique and different. I love how they make their own chocolate for their desserts too and use as much of the bean as possible, it adds a really special touch.
I was lucky enough to see their chocolate making process in person, Roselle and Brian ooze passion for what they do.
Very late to the Miaan scene as the Morningside one is their third one and I've just visited them. Was not disappointed at all. Obviously I went for their smoked hot chocolate that's been going viral. And my gosh, please take my money!!!! What a clever and delicious idea!!! Smoke goes sooo well with dark chocolate and cream. It actually is like a warm merino blanket on a chilly day. And it's also like an electric blanket when your body aches with cold. Yes, is simply and beautifully delicious.
An absolute delicious tease to your sensors and palate 💯 🥰 colourful, fresh, decadent and so tasty 🙆🏻♀️ I recommend that you StoP in and take in the awesome flavours of Miann Chocolate Factory 🍫 🏭 👌🏼
Super cool place!! It smells delicious when you walk in and there is heaps of different things to choose from! Super friendly staff and it was nice and warm inside!
Definitely recommend 😍
If your are in the city, this is "The Place" to be for dessert or a sweet treat. Amazing, friendly service with staff that genuinely care, are efficient and go the extra mile. There is a huge selection of pastries, sweet treats, hot chocolates and hot drinks to choose from, including some amazing teas. The pasteries and deserts on display are almost too pretty to eat, but when you take that first bite you'll be wanting more.
Lovely little place with lots of nice desserts for a perfect cup of tea. We recently found this place and deffenetly will come back for another taste of yummy macarons and amazing customer service. ❤
Had such an amazing dessert here! As soon as you walk into the restaurant the air is filled with an amazing chocolate fragrance 😍 definitely going back soon
Coming to Miann is always a pleasant experience. It’s my go-to for some delectable edible presents or just simply capping of the night with an indulgent treat. The staff are always friendly, helpful and accomodating especially when it takes me forever to make up my mind about which gateaux, macaron or gelato to take with me. I love coming here because your eyes feast before you actually eat anything. The flavours change every now and then so there’s something new to try. Recently, I’ve enjoyed the green tea gateaux and baklava gelato. 10/10 for both! Mojito gateaux and pistachio macaron deserve some special mentions too.
Miann is a delight whether its cold winter's morning or a warm summer's day :)
Excellent coffee, freshly prepared, handcrafted and incredible service. We've visited all 3 outlets and they prove consistency is key :)
Well done, Miann. A great place :)
Definitely satisfied our sweet cravings. Ordered the knickerbocker which is like a custard/fruit/sponge trifle with bits of meringue and biscuits in a dessert cup. Was very tasty and it wasnt overly sweet. We also had the apple crumble on a waffle. Portion was very small and just a small scoop of ice cream. There was an overpowering taste of burnt? golden syrup which I think ruined the dish. It was very hard to eat because of the strong taste and there wasnt enough icecream to balance it out. We also had the popular fijian hot choc and hazelnut. First time having a choc marshmallow which was perfect for our hot drink. It was worth a try but too expensive.
Amazing desserts as always. Friendly and attentive staff. Slightly less choice in the cabinet than other Miann stores. Loved the experience of checking out the chocolate factory next door.
This place is the hidden gem in Kingsland I reckon. Best place to chill with some sweets while you see all the desserts chef working on their culinary creations and all the workers there can answer all your question about their menu.
This chocolate off their menu is something u need to experience! Perfect texture of the mousse go along with that hazelnut perfectly balanced sweetness yet some umami from the shiso leaf is just amazing combination. Don't wanna reveal too much cz u need to try it to understand what I'm trunna say.
Then end the night with mango passionfruit scrub. ❤️ Perfecto
The cream brulee was great, not too sweet with a bit of sour fruity texture. The passion fruit soda was delicious too, definitely recommended.
Came here for breakfast and the food was divine, the staff are all so welcoming and friendly. The lemon merengue Cronut is a definite recommend

Absolutely loved coming here with my boyfriend tonight! Their Peach crumble waffles were absolutely delicious and their current special the “Knickerbocker Glory” was literally fun in a cup with so much variety for the tastebuds.
The staff were absolutely killer, super friendly and efficient! I can’t wait to come back and try more of their food!
I had no idea this place existed here! Really enjoyed our dessert the small matcha cake was a bit too sweet for our liking and very over priced. For a two scoop ice cream and the match we paid $22.50. Their ice cream are amazing so will def be back for those but probably not the pantry sweets.
We have bought their chocolate which we love and were excited to try their cafe next door.
We were warmly welcomed when we entered both by the team and the glorious smell of chocolate. After being seated it was explained that the cafe didn’t do any cooked breakfasts and their specialty was open sandwich’s. We were happy with this but something to keep in mind before going.
Being 4 at the table we all ordered something different, the highlight being the sandwich with goats milk cheese, poached pear and prosciutto. All the other sandwiches were also excellent and would happily recommend all of them.
Afterwards we bought a few sweet treats to take home and some awesome chocolate and it all added up to a great morning out.

Miann is one of those places where you’ll be spoilt for choice. We visited on a Sunday afternoon and the cabinets were well stocked with delicious desserts and macarons. They also currently have a great assortment of Christmas desserts – snowmen, Christmas trees and Santa’s, sure to get everyone in the festive spirit. We had an assortment of the Christmas macarons and they were delicious. Salted caramel, hazelnut chocolate and strawberries and cream – classic combinations done well.
The staff are friendly and easy going which suits the vibe of this joint. If your lucky enough to get a table it’s a nice place to dine in and they also have tables outside. Worth checking out for anyone that has a sweet tooth!
Two words: pure decadence. I’m so glad it’s not within walking distance, because I’d go there more often. I even loved how my coffee had Miann spelled out on top in chocolate powder.
I had no idea Miann had a third franchise out here so I was pleasantly surprised. Just like all the other Mianns this one has an amazing display of assorted desserts on offer.
Again the most difficult part is selecting which one to eat!
If you're looking for a decadent dessert or sweet treat this is the place to visit, quite expensive but cakes etc so beautifully made and eye satisfying you deserve to spoil yourself sometimes. Intend to visit again with others to try for the first time, setting is tidy and a tight space but comfortable if you manage to get seating. Can see kitchen and watch staff make orders, customer service is acceptable. This area is busy so parking is an issue but a good distant walk to your car is recommended after dining here.
Always a Miann fan. New shop open and been there the 2nd day. Now they open a chocolate shop right next to it. Gonna try next time.
Hot chocolate is must try as well as macaroon and ice cream.
Drink is very good as well.
Car park is hard to find.

We are so happy that Miann opens a cafe at Morningside. Lots of car parking spaces and the place has very good atmosphere inside out. Love the baklava gelato, it’s genius! Will definitely be a regular customer here. ❤️
I’d always been a fan of Miann, but the 2 places in thr city weren’t that easy for me to visit. Now that shop 3 has opened in a more residential area, it’s so easy to pop into on weekends!
Really into their cubed croissants at the moment. My favourite is the strawberry cheesecake yum!
The donuts are just a tempting too. Once it gets hotter, I’ll definitely be going to try their range of gelatos!
A friend brought some of their amazing square croissants one morning. The croissant is filled with delicious pastry cream which gushes out with each bite. They tend to sell out quite a bit and after tasting it I can see why.
The pastry is crisp and the flavours of chocolate and almond with the pastry cream were delicious. They have a few different flavours to choose from too. Definitely, a place to try.
Consistent friendly service like the rest of Miann outlets. Love the xtra things you can get for lunches and morning tea.
A good addition to Morningside hub
i love all the Miann’s, this one is extra special as there is a mini chocolate factory added to it, super cute and smells and looks great. i got the smores gatueax which was delicious, not too sweet or overpowering and good size for after dinner. great place for date night.
The new trendy cafe in Auckland! We had matcha latte and it was good - personally I would like a touch of vanilla syrup in it just to make it sweeter and smell better. Flat white was spot on. Raspberry donut ($6) was a bit sour for taste and the dough was dense. Not bad but I’ve had better donut than this one. The famous Nutella cube croissant ($6.50) - I like the filling and the texture of croissant. I would love to try other flavors but with the price like this, I will come back next time 😝 Service was really friendly and fast. Open kitchen that you can watch they cook is cool. Location is easier for free parking than city branch.
Second time visit around 3pm, all good pastry were gone so we tried ice-cream. $12.50 for 2 scoops, the taste was good but maybe a bit pricey compared to others.
Great vibe. Really friendly staff. Love this place. Have already recommended this place to so many people. Will definitely be visiting again. :)
I was already a huge fan of the branches in the city & bloody stoked is an understatement of how excited I am that they’ve created another branch closer. Thanks to ‘eatlitfood’s recommendation and every food bloggers new crush, I went straight for the cube croissants. I brought the Nutella one and the lamington one and oh my they really did live up to the hype. Perfectly cooked and filled with the right amount of a smooth mousse like substance. The service was very friendly too! The only thing that can be faulted is the parking situation but that’s to be expected being in a busy industrial area and is totally out of Miann’s control so be prepared to do some questionable parking or a good work out. Will definitely be back again!
Tried twice in the last week as quite keen to try out the new branch.
Couldn’t rate the salted caramel hot chocolate higher, amazing taste and so creamy and smooth 11/10.
Creme brûlée was also amazing, super light compared to every other one I’ve had in the past - quite nice as it wasn’t too rich or heavy and had a nice citrus hit which was different but good.
Went back today to try their pastries and the positives continued, the square croissants were something I felt needed to try, and the croissant itself was AMAZING, such a good taste and texture - although I wasn’t a huge fan of the filling of the Nutella one, but I think it’s just personal taste as the reviews from the family was 10/10.
And wow the donut, heavy little shit jam packed with vanilla custard filling was so good I can’t explain. The texture was somehow so dense yet so light and springy and just bloody amazing another 11/10.
Keen to go back to try their chocolates and would definitely return to morningside branch as it’s location makes parking a breeze, the staff are all awesome and it’s a lovely little place.
Miann is the best place in Auckland to go for dessert, why would you go anywhere else. They have everything from chocolate, macaroons and waffles to really great coffee and teas. Most of all I love their gelato, had the Baklava pistachio gelato at their new store in Morningside at the weekend. It’s a really nice laid back vibe at this location. Plenty of parking and lots of outdoor seating to enjoy your dessert in the sun.
Came here to get the croissant cubes. These cubes are all over Instagram..it's the latest craze in the pastry world. We got one of each flavour. The croissant shell is well made. Flakey and honeycomb inside ♥️ the filling were all very delicious. Thoroughly enjoyed my matcha latte fix. As well as the vanilla custard donut we got. Can't wait to see more from miann!
Finally got to try the waffles from @miann_morningside ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Came to visit Miann’s new Morningside shop today with mum and we couldn’t decide what to get. Everything looked too good!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Finally ended up deciding to try their Apple Crumble Waffle - all I can say is YUMMMMMM. Warm thick waffle, topped with salted caramel sauce and salted caramel gelato with slow cooked apples and crunchy crumble 🤤
The gelato even had brownie bits inside 😋😋😋
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
We also had the passionfruit & mango soda and matcha latte. The soda was really refreshing and the latte had a nice strong matcha flavour
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Goal: Try all 5 waffle flavours 💪
Walked in and the place was packed. We decided to wait and not to sit out in the cold but they offered us seats in the "chocolate room" which was yet to open, the smell in that room was amazing.!!!
Friendly staff, quick service and we also got a little tour of how chocolate was made there.
My s'mores waffle was delicious.
Would recommend 😊
About 10 minutes outside the city, nice spot on a quiet street wiht plenty of parking around. Had my favourite hot chocolate [Carmelia - pictured] and a beautiful apple turnover - light crispy pastry and soft cooked fresh apple inside. Same standard as their Fort Street store. Looking forward to trying their now house made chocolate soon, wasn't quite ready yet.
Such a beautiful place....the glass houses make for a beautiful setting. Beautifully decorated.
Amazing service - everyone so cheerful and courteous.
Food so delicious...like a 5 star kinder surprise.
Highly recommend for high tea.
Best hot chocolate and cheesecake - loved the Christmas decor little homes
Most friendliest staff!
This place was absolutely Bomb!!! It's such a romantic date sport or just cozy boujee desert place. I went on a Sunday afternoon and the Two guys working there were absolute sweethearts!!! Amazing customer service. Handmade everything, the marshmallows were freshly made so it tasted so fresh and expensive. The creme Brulee was 🤤. The mian spots in the city don't do deserts like these anymore. So nice to have boujee deserts for relatively affordable prices.
We booked an afternoon high tea experience at Morningside's glasshouse, which was great. High tea contains a few of savory and a collection of sweets, and we really enjoyed the food. We could choose any drink except the specialty drinks from the menu. Hot chocolate is amazing, and we highly recommend the one with hazelnut praline. The only thing is that we came on a rainy day and the glasshouse was a bit leaking. There were drips falling from the roof behind the chair in the corner. Other than that, the service was great as the staff was welcoming and kind.
Such a cute little space. We had the high tea, delicious selection of sweets, a couple savory, pastries and buns. We sat in like a glass garden shed, which was cool however it did get a bit humid, so I suggest opening the slide door.
Excellent Dessert Spot!
Stopped in for a spontaneous dessert. Worth the drive just for the quality of the chocolate. Will not disappoint. Also, a lot of people coming for their icecream.
You probably could share one dessert because they’re so rich.
$14 and good value.
The staff here are lovely. And I keep coming back for the macarons. They have gone up in price but they are still the best. I would like to see a bit more variety in the dessert menu as it was kinda the same things we were there. That pecan brownie though was delicious
This place has small glass rooms and the staff was very kind and nice!! I had coffee but i would recommend chocolate drinks. The Waffle menu was wonderful!!
Booked ourselves into a glasshouse outside, and we did a dessert and chocolate tasting. Parking was quite difficult, but the setting was great. The glasshouses were adorable. The food was all amazing! So filling! And the tasting was really interesting. Would highly recommend as something a bit different and fun to do.

A chocolate factory?! Yes please ☺😌
Miann Chocolate Factory & Store sits tucked away from the main road (New North Road). There is limited parking, but is well worth the effort 🚗🚗
They make all their chocolates and products on site. They sell all forms of sweet treats, decadent seasonal treats 🍫, and world class craft chocolates, as well as gelato and sorbet 🍦 They have an online store as well👩💻
The shop is quaint, and the staff are very friendly 🙂😀
They are open until 10pm on most days. There is outside seating benches, but they have these lovely, beautifully decorated glass pods that you can sit in, to protect you from the elements, while you sip on a hot chocolate drink during cold, wet, winter nights ❄🧣
I opted for their tasting plate, which changes regularly, and includes their best sellers. It was amazing! The lemon meringue was my absolute favourite, although all of them were delicious 😋😋
I was a bit disappointed that they don't sell coffee. They only sell all things cocoa and chocolate related, and tea. I opted for Rooibos tea (a South African herbal favourite), infused with cacao husk ☕
OK I absolutely love chocolate, and this place I absolutely 100% love now also and would totally recommend. The facilities are clean and tidy but also so unique with their winter garden glasshouse. Me and 5 friends came for dessert and the customer service was top notch. We ordered the waffles, chocolate platter and something I can quite remember. It was absolutely delicious and I will be coming again with the kids and hubby. It was also so cool to see them making the chocolate next door in their factory too.
My favorite spot for late coffee. It's sad that they don't open longer as they used to do before Covid. I love sitting inside the small glass house. Their tasting set and their hot chocolate are awesome.
Edit: Got some of the Christmas desserts. They were all nice in their own way. Interesting flavours and textures. The gingerbread house buche was nice with an adult (non alcoholic way) flavour.
Compared to the Britomart cafe, this has a lovely vibrant atmosphere to it. You will also be indulged in a rich chocolate smell in the shop front because this is the chocolate factory shop. Their hot chocolates are rich amd velvety. Friendly staff.
Read about this place in the Urban List Auckland. Its a website that gives reviews of up and coming places. Also a friend of mine recommended this place and I have to say it lived up to the hype and my expectations. From the coffee, to the decor and the wide range of desserts.
Delicious ! You can smell the freshly baked pastries from the street. Cozy environment to hang out with your friends. A bit pricey, but it was delicious. We’ve ordered a few desserts and enjoyed them all. The manuka flower tea was also quite nice. Definitely will come back here in the future.
Had their popular Hot Cross Buns - top 10 in UrbanList - soft buns , just the right spice , not too sweet with bits of citrus peels for crunch & contrast 🤩🤩🤩
