Viv's Kitchen Sanson is a very good place to stop for a break, excellent selection of cabinet food you can have yummy savoury pies, etc. heated with a side salad added, very nice indeed, bigger meals if want, or, just a cake, not forgetting the cream horn. The place is very roomy with different areas to sit, outside if you want to, in the Gazebo. The staff were very efficient, very polite, did a excellent job. Very good parking area. Good toilet versatility. Great area outside to stretch your legs, kids to play, as they are making a play gound, dolls house, putting trampoline in, they are going all out for there customers. There are alot of good points going for Viv's Kitchen. I think there pricing was very good, this has been one of the best places for prices yet. I would give this cafe a 5 star rating, l will definitely be back again, give it a go. Thankyou Louise

A cream horn is just a cream horn, right? I remember them from childhood. Nice. But nothing special. However, I had been told I had to try the ones from Viv's Kitchen in Sanson. And today I finally did. It was exquisite. Worth making a special trip to Sanson for. I will definitely be back.

Passing throught Huntersville and Bulls, then stopping at Viv's kitchen for breakfast was amazing!!!! They are the home of the famous cream horn👌🏼. They have home made baking, all day breakfast and the best burgers in town ! They also have a cute ice-cream bar for the warmer days 🍦💙 All the staff are friendly and the owners are so lovely and the service so fast. Will recommend. When in this area, stop by and enjoy some good food. ( I did not get a good photo of the burgers, because they looked so yummy, we couldn't wait 😂📷👌🏼)

What. A. Spot. Look at all the other photos of the outdoor stuff - we’re here for the diner food! Cream horns are awesome. Lemon, caramel, passion fruit, chocolate, raspberry, and boysenberry… crispy, light, and thoroughly delicious cones of cream filled goodness. The other food is pretty damn good too - love the way they serve other warmed up food with a wee side salad. The raspberry match boxes are also awesome… the old school raspberry cream bun but on puff pastry, and uber tastiness, with lightly sweetened fresh whipped cream, with a subtle raspberry icing… just sooo good with a cuppa, if we had remembered to get one 😂 The pies… ahh yes. The tasty pies. Steak and kidney? Was bloody delicious. The potato top? Heaven🤤 Why wouldn’t you go to Viv’s kitchen? A. You have diabetes B. You have a gluten intolerance (not a hell of a lot of options from memory) C. Hate pastry or whipped cream We didn’t try the coffee, but we’ll save that for another day. Damn near ate one of everything else. We didn’t come here because we want a playground for kids… why would you even go to a cafe for that 😂 you go for the FOOD. And we weren’t disappointed. We’ll be back!!!

We dropped by here on the way to watch a rugby game in Bulls. Delicious pies, the cone pastry things are quite nice, but I think the pies are better. Coffee is excellent and I can highly recommend it. The egg muffin wasn't that great as the hashbrown wasnt crunchy and just made it a bit heavy. I love the staff uniform, the diner feel, and how popular and busy it is. Overall, it's a great place to stop.

This was like going back to the 60s. Superbly designed, food was to die for and the staff were very busy, always had a smile and welcome, engaged in conversation with customers whilst still working. The uniform was very Retro 60s. One felt right back into the Rock n Roll Era..Definitely calling in again when passing..

Picture this if you will, you're driving, you're hungry & thristy, in the distance you see a little yellow Morris Minor as you come into Sanson. You stop a Viv's Kitchen (home of the world famous cream horn). You order a great value big breakfast with a coffee for only $ 21.00. WOW.

Delicious looking food. Didn’t get a cream horn. Instead opted for a chocolate eclair and a marshmallow shortcake. Both very nice. Good coffee too. Bit of a playground area at the back, which could do with a spruce up. Bits are needing a fix etc etc. But all in all a very nice cafe to dine at.

For a place that is in a small town, this was great! Lovely customer service and I love their uniforms, very accommodating for a small picky eater. And then they do massive portions, and a very "normal" big breakfast. It was great to get something that's not fancy and easily identifiable. The workers there are constantly cleaning too making it a very tidy place. And I just love the old school theme and the music playing. Fabulous experience

Doggy friendly 🙌 Wonderful staff, great variety of food, glad they had multiple non-dairy options for the coffees, lovely outdoor space with plenty of seats, playgrounds and doggy bowls for refreshed pups on the road! Found them via the Palmy Proud magazine and will definitely be stopping by here again! Keep up the great work guys!

This place was referred to me as a must stop in on your travels. I didn't have the famous cream horn, but the gluten free choc brownie was a delicious treat to have on a river walk! Friendly service and love the decor!

I want to visit again immediately!! Came across the restaurant during our driving trip when we were looking for a place to dine out. The name and signs captured our attention. Then we stopped and saw there were heaps of people dining in. I am glad we visited, as the food was delicious (highly recommend the cream horns) , the interior was loveable (retro styled and heaps of photos that appeared personal to the owners of the shop). You can tell the amount of effort that went into getting the shop's interior to look the way that it is. Toliet was clean. There was a moderate sized children's playground. A must visit place for everyone!

Had to stop for a delicious creamy treat. Place was very busy and I suspect it always is, but wasn't a big wait for a takeaway treat.

The Service is very warm, the atmosphere first class and the food devine. Coffees. a pie and sausage roll were all very nice, and of course had to try the famous creamed horn, perfection! Certainly a great place to take a break travelling north from Wellington.

Pretty neat little place. Cabinet food looks delicious. Our meals were fine and the bonus of a free coffee with our meal. Has a cool outdoor area and playground for the kids and a few different outdoor areas to eat. Also plenty of off road parking.
