Ah Malones Irish Tavern
well I have enjoyed many a night at Malones and would thoroughly recommend a night out at surfdales local establishment.
Great service, good vibes, awesome pub with the heart of Ireland
We left our run a bit late finding a restaurant on a Thursday night on Waiheke. We stumbled across Malones who were winding down for the night. My wife is Keto and they went above and beyond to make her a keto meal that wasn't on the menu! Definitely worth stopping in for a Guinness, friendly smile and great service!
Had the best night out at this local bar... staff are rare they look after you and go out of their way to make sure you leave safely. Prices are reasonable considering the island reputation of being pricey. Get in before 10 otherwise their is a door charge but would pay regardless for the awesome DJs and atmosphere as well as their the latest open in the island. Would highly recommend to all my friends and so on.
Classic pub with a pool table pretty good atmosphere but can get a bit loud and rough late in the evening
Great little Irish pub. And the only place on the Island still open after 10pm it seems. Was great they were still serving food and the chips were excellent (and I'm pretty sure that wasn't just because of the 4 Guinness I'd already had.)

Only pub on the island, only place worth drinking in. The landlady is lovely and the crowd is great. Good entertainment through the week with bands and open mic; bring your guitar and have a go. Food is probably the best in the area for pub food, try the pie it's wonderful. Great Atmosphere during the rugby, red or black you'll have a great time.
Great place to go dancing. Is a bit hot inside because is so small. The prices are good and on Sunday you can find a Latin Party.
Good place to go with friends. You have to pay entry but is only 5 nzd!
Great Irish bar with delicious new reasonably priced menu inc vegetarian Dine in or take away. This bar has been refurbished with plenty of seating in or ouside in the beer gardens. Lots of activities- pool, darts, wii gaming and live entertainment. Home style hospitality xx highly recommend this place. Go check out this gem of a bar. A great lil Waiheke gem. A must visit on a night out on Waiheke or an afternoon pint and meal. One of the oldest hospitality businesses on the island and a great little tavern/bar. From the open mic nights, to the live music and djs on the weekend, all rugby games, league, cricket, sailing etc this is your proper live music Irish sports bar.
I’ve eaten many a meals here and i can assure you every time the food has been incredible, one of my faves is the lamb shank with mushy peas, mash and gravy. Hearty whole meals cooked great every time.
Pool and darts aswell it’s a right little venue for a bit of time out or partying. Plus the only place to get a proper Guiness on the Island. Possibly the best Guiness in NZ.

Fantastic pub.
Rustic charm, Great food, great service and a consistently effervescent atmosphere. Also a great venue for live music. I'd recommend Malones to Anyone.
I like going there with my dad and the wedges with bacon are so good
