In many ways this is a typical Subway outlet. The food was the same as every other Subway.
The location at the southern end of town is convenient, with parking on the adjacent side street off the main road. This store has a nice floor plan. It's slightly elevated above the footpath outside and is quite large, with plenty of tables. The bathroom is OK.

Fantastic customer service by Raiden. I'm very pleased with that, My partner is a strict vegan and she's so picky about gloves to be changed for every new order and Raiden he was so respectful throughout the order being a newbie, he did a great job.
Stopped in just after 1pm, the place was really busy. Only one guy serving, making the subs & working the till but he was 'a machine'. Very impressive , well practiced method of working to keep it flowing. π

I had a new girl on, tonight in Taihape.
She was super quiet and obviously a little new to the job...
Her supervisor was in the background on his phone not even helping her at all. Felt super bad for her considering how well she was doing.
He hasn't trained her properly in salad making (salad hadn't been cut up properly etc) but I wasn't too fussed about that.

Average subway with very accessible location via state highway 1. Bathrooms and tables could be a bit cleaner but overall, large range of fillings and breads, also salads and wraps available here. Can get busy round lunch time but waiting times are low as service here is relatively quick.
First time for subway tried 6 inch and footlong washed down with a fanta.Customer service great boys very polite good clean hygiene hats and gloves worn impressed.Thanks Taihape will stop again on the way through one happy Linehaul Driver.

Clean premise, friendly staff and have never had a bad food experience here. Stop here all the time when traveling through and recommend for fast friendly service and good subs.
