Great food, great price ,prompt service, friendly staff, freshest fish you can find, good portions and the meanest chocolate thick shake in town , definitely a good choice if yr hungry for a top kiwi feed and in this neck of the woods.@tairua

Fish n chips was great. Batter was light and crispy and portion just right. Would've given you 5 stars but unfortunately found a bone in one of the hoki fish. Hamburgers were pretty good aswell.
Cute place to get food. Many things on the menu are inexpensive but they are fairly small portions. The food was very greasy since everything is fried. We tried their fried fish (2 orders) with onion rings(1 order) and potato fritters (1 order) -- seen in the picture.

Surf n Sand is a take a way what is located central and you can park direct in front of the store. The service was very friendly and the food was prepared fast. The taste was great and the price was fully ok.
I can recommend this place if you look far a take a way food you will love it.

We stopped by this town when we went to Coromandel. We didn't know where we could find cheap food, so we decided to buy some fish & chips here. Surprisingly, the food was great (maybe we were too hungry).
Great food. Seafood chowder is really good and a must try.
We had a recent and very positive experience with Surf'n'Sand Takeaways. Big school group order of hot chips. Were so accommodating, easy to pre order and arrange. Very tasty chips. Also got ice creams for group. Again accommodating and getting students to order worked very smoothly. Highly recommend and will be back to try more of the menu. All friendly staff and very clean and tidy takeaways. Thanks guys!!

a curry roll kumara and corn fritters that were amazing, Super crispy and on time. Also the best raw fish I’ve had in a while! Definitely recommend. Good service too will be back again soon!
