The food is really delicious. Service is reasonably quick. and staff are friendly and helpful. The portions could be a big larger though.

The place is nice with very welcoming and organised staff. The wait time, however, was a bit long. Not the staff don’t tell you, but still… The food… It was amazingly delicious. Everyone enjoyed their dishes.👌🏽 I will definitely go back there in the future 👍🏼.

The best Japanese food we had in Auckland. The portions were generous with great presentation. The staff are very nice too.

The vibe of the restaurant has a perfect balance for dinner and socialising. Food is great, fresh sashimi. I can still taste the fat of the salmon in my mouth. A lil bit pricey, but nothing unusual nowadays. Prepare to spend $50 per person for a scrumptious meal.

Authentic Japanese taste and plates are beautifully presented. Love their open kitchen design where you will be able to view how your food is prepared and even interact with the chefs. Highly recommend their dinner sets. We ordered 4 different dinner sets and all of them are beyond my expectations.

This Takapuna Japanese restaurant is very good 👍 The food selection is wide and caters for most taste buds. Prices and middle of the road not cheap and not to expensive 🙃. The tempura prawn Cutlets were excellent as was the friendly service

Such an amazing experience here. Everything was tasty and well presented. Staff were attentive and friendly. Just consider booking a table as it can get quite busy, and there can be a bit of a wait, but well worth it.

I ordered Lunch Special of two choices. Teriyaki Beef and Karaage Chicken. Heavenly taste.

Authentic Japanese food with reasonable prices and great dinner sets which offer little bits of different things. The fish is fresh as can be, the tuna tataki is mouth watering and so delicate. Kyo-ya in Takapuna has long been a favourite of ours .We recently enjoyed a lunch with friends and, as always, the food was delicious. Our waitperson Hanna was friendly, helpful and delightful to deal with. Highly recommended.

Food tastes great and at a very good price - I would recommend ordering the lunch special. Staff are friendly and service is great. The restaurant is well lit with much natural light which adds to the atmosphere.
