Best burger in Taupo? yeah, probably - but the bar isn't exactly high... Have eaten here twice and enjoyed it both times, but I've definitely had a half dozen or so better burgers in NZ.

Things have changed. I came here years ago and it was amazing! But times have changed and so has this place. The southern fried chicken burger was ok, chicken was great, bun was nice, but the burger lacked bite, some acidity or something. The slaw mayo tasted very generic, as did the burger sauce. M
Food was good, staff were friendly as well. Highly recommend the southern fried chicken (any variation) as well as the special beef burger. Jackfruit burger was pretty good too. Would come again!
After a long days drive and staying a night in Taupo I asked them to recommend me a burger and liking some spice I went with the chilli cheese burger with extra pattie and salad which bumped up the price a bit but gosh the burger was amazing. They say it is the best burger in town. I disagree. I think is the best burger in the North island. Just go there if you crave for some burger. Stop thinking. Just go. But recommend you take away, not much seats, and well... basically no ambient. Take it as a fast food joint.
DO believe the hype! Possibly the best smash burger I’ve had in NZ over the years—far outweighing the famous (and in my personal opinion overrated) Fergs in Queenstown. Crispy edges, really nice brisket beef patty. Cheese and housemade sauces all on point.

Had to stop at Pauly's Diner when I was in Taupo. The burgers are simply delicious and you can make it a combo with chips and a drink. We had the BBC and Cheese Burgers. The Souther Fried Chicken baskets are pretty good also, Boneless pieces of chicken that is juicy. Plenty of parking outside in the
excellent burgers here. not much seating inside, and the meat patty was quite small for the price. i had to pay extra to have salad in the burger. the sauces and method of cooking was great. buns fresh and tasty. all in all an excellent burger.
Found this burger place unexpectedly and boy was it good. Me & my wife shared 1 burger and it was so good we returned again the next day. The service was excellent, friendly and helpful. The price as good too. The ambiance inside was awesome. The burgers...wow!
Limited place to dine in.For me bun was nice and for first time to try their burger it quite ok.
This place is fantastic really. The burgers and shakes are very simple but they are excellent. Made fresh to order along with the milkshakes. The atmosphere is very basic and seating is limited but it's a nice spot to relax and enjoy your meal if there happens to be space when you are there.

I had I the bacon smash burger, outstanding crunch on smash patties, soft sweet bun.
Chicken was very tasty and flavorsome, $17 a single portion.

So we saw videos on YouTube and one of YouTuber recommended this place in Taupo. Before that I never knew it existed. Soo we plan to go there on our next trip. It’s a small restaurant with couple of seating inside, with couple of tables outside. Menu is short but probably have everything you need. O
These burgers are SICK. also. Chips Cole with chip spice which was delicious. Had a great banana milkshake. And glass bottle coke & L&P. Delish.
