HOLY GUACAMOLE! What an incredible spot! Food was absolutely incredible and the staff so friendly and chilled out! Would absolutely recommend this spot for anyone who lives in or is travelling through Taupo. Without a doubt the yummiest food in the area and the space has a sweet industrial-scandi vibe! 11/10!!!!

Lovely food and beverages! Great selection of options. The only downfall was the eggs were slightly over cooked, but otherwise it was great. We've been here numerous times and enjoyed it every time. It hS a great space and service is friendly. It also let's dogs inside, which is awesome. Will be back for sure.

One of the best Benedict sauces I've had in a long time (and I eat/review a lot)! The bacon was requested crispy and it came out perfectly and tasted exquisite. The Tropical Smoothie Bowl was a great way to start the day with a quality granola and fresh fruit. I'll return when I'm back in the area. Strong, excellent coffee too.

Great breakfasts. Particularly recommend the fried chicken (which was gone before I had a chance to take a photo). Fab coffee too of course. The staff are extremely friendly and welcoming.

Had fried chicken sandwich and kids waffles. The toasts are quite soft and to be honest tastes like the toasts from countdown🤣 but the fried chicken tastes really nice and crispy. Have many toys for kids to spend their time. Overall a nice experience but a bit pricey.

I was googling for a great brunch place in Taupo and this cafe came up. It looked like it was highly recommended and they had a fried chicken waffle on the menu, so I had to give it a go. The whole family absolutely loved their meals, and thought the cafe was brilliant. It’s in an industrial sort of area but it’s so light, and has such a great feel inside. The service was excellent even though they were busy and clearly a very popular spot. Street parking was pretty easy. An excellent find! And we’ll definitely be back.

We truly enjoyed our very filling breakfast. We had the Buddah Bowl, Fried Chicken Waffles and SH power breakfast. 🤤 Food 10/10. Ambiance 10/10. The seating however..could be improved. We took a seat upstairs where the chairs were much lower than the table in the corner. Funny how 2 inches would make you feel like a kid at the grown up table where you can’t properly rest your elbows. If I weren’t too distracted by the food, it would have bothered me more. Take a seat downstairs and you would not have this same issue?

I like the setting of this place. It’s got two floors so it’s great for big groups. It’s well decorated and I know they also do private events if needed. I came here with my family for breakfast and I ordered the Buddha bowl and some coffees. Definitely would come back again here for this dish! Who knew healthy food would be this delicious. The coffee was a little too acidic for me but that may just be a preference thing. My parents had the fried chicken sandwich (forgot to take a picture of this) but they were just so so. The same fried chicken served on the waffle was good though. My sister ordered it (again I forgot to take a picture) and it was tender and juicy. I wouldn’t mind having this for lunch. Service was also fast. You can order your food through an app so there was no need to queue and order if you’re seated on the second floor. Efficiency is always something I value in a restaurant!

We had a delicious lunch here! We had the lamb salad and the chicken burger which were both amazing! Coffee was also brilliant! Being able to order on our phone at the table was also very convenient! Brilliant place!

Food is amazing. We stopped by for breakfast and it was awesome. Staff are friendly and we loved the local artists work for sale in-house. We bought some things and had them shipped back to Australia.

Popped into SH after reading good reviews & wanted something healthy to take to Acacia Bay for brunch. Lovely cafe, very popular but they get through the customers in good time & friendly. I choose the Falafel wrap which had a good mixture of ingredients & sauces which should keep me filled for some time.

The idea of Taupō’s coolest cafe being located in a light industrial estate appeals. The space is certainly quirkier than the downtown cafe offerings. But more could be done accessorising-wise to achieve ubercoolness. Food was good and service friendly and efficient. 16.04.23 In response to the owners question as to “what might be done to achieve ‘ubercoolness’?” Here are some suggestions. 1. Paint the exterior window frames a bright contrast colour such as lime green. 2. Hang more unusual objects from the ceiling beams. 3. Be braver on the walls with some bigger displays - pick up the industrial theme and hang collections of vintage tools in groups. 4. Paint the staircase to the mezzanine the same colour as the window exterior or a complement to it. 5. As money permits gradually introduce an eclectic range of chairs to make the seating less uniform.
