Fantastic indoor and outdoor gallery with amazing art from on-site and local artists. Beautiful gardens - with a number of mosaic pieces. The cafe is also lovely and makes a mean iced coffee. Highly recommended!
Absolutely must-visit place if you are on Taupo. This place wasn’t in our schedule.
We were so lucky to drop by. It was amazing from the entrance. You can see how well this place is took care of with details. Your eyes will have fun from just looking around this place. Even pave stones are great fun to step on because they are a part of amusing art pieces.
Quite a unique look! Plus even before midday they had live music which really added to the ambience. A cute gift shop for after your coffee or a meal. All day lunch and breakfast so you can get any meal item at any time ! The food didn't look particularly exciting on the plate but was delicious !

An amazing display of food in the cabinet. Normally can’t have anything much but then saw my friend Jo who owns it filling in for her sick chef today.
I said ‘ can you do A French toast without the eggs (I’m allergic) on gf?
I saw the clogs in her brain working She said
‘I can do that ❤️’

Great breakfast served in a lovely cafe. Lots of artwork in the gallery and the garden, you can take a walk after having a meal there. Love it!
5 stars for the gallery & gardens, very beautiful pieces of art, pottery & other delights displayed around the cafe & gallery. I’m super happy with 2 pieces I bought, wrapped up so no photos.
I wasn’t so enthralled with the food, the sausage roll had a lot of pastry & not
a lot of meat, the salads where healthy with fresh veges but I had to ask for more vinaigrette to give it oomph & flavour.
I’d definitely go back to buy more artwork & grab a coffee or wine but would be very selective with the cabinet food I choose.
Visiting Taupō? Make sure you take the 10min drive out to L’arté Cafe you won’t be disappointed. Nice selection of indoor and outdoor tables, some outdoor tables are in the sun and some in shade which is nice. There are 2 large outdoor tables that would seat 10-12. Food is great, coffee is great and the gardens, mosaics and sculptures that surround you are beautiful. There is even live music on the weekends. Loads of space for kids to run around and burn off energy. Highly recommend
Great coffee nice sculpture with it's own lemon tree 🍋. Very nice place to come. They have a lot to offer. Chill and relaxing under rainy weather. Great get away from busy life. Hey focus on the beautiful vibe and coffee okay 😊. 10 out of 10 lovely place.
