Great calamari excellent salad and loved the dressing! Beef burger was awesome!

Didn't get food just had a couple of pints and enjoyed the view. Like the layout. Awesome bar maid. Friendly. Fun and welcoming.
Pub n Grub was busy when we arrived, but it was easy to get a table.
I got a steak with chips and a glass of wine, as did my partner. That came to $86, which is expensive enough but what you would expect to pay for the restaurant's location. The steak was cooked perfectly, and was delicious.

We were in TaupΕ for the weekend and this seems to be THE place to go. Was always busy with a good energy but we easily managed to find a table both times. Food was delightful (we had fish and chips) and portions large. Was great to watch the sun go down and to watch sport.
Went with a group last weekend. Personally I had Tempura Prawns followed by the Fettuccini with added chorizo and prawns. Mine superb. Couple of the other had crispy chicken - don't go near it.

Service was average fornthe price paid.
Tip: 1. Staff should serve with a smile not a bored..." I don't want to be here" kind of attitude.

I had the fish burger and 2 pina coladas, absolutely amazing. My partner had the steak meal and was full until 2pm the next day. The customer service is great, I highly recommend.
Absolutely love Pub n Grub, we stop here for breakfast whenever we pass through Taupo. Staff are always friendly and miling, food is always delicious. Had dinner there in October 2022. The crispy salmon and the fettuccine were both delicious. Service was also excellent, noting that there is a general staff shortage nowadays.
My family and I have been coming here for the past few years every time we drop by Taupo. The food and service are always exceptional. Friendly staff and always have smiles on their faces.

Huge servings, great smiling staff, amazing whakapapa beer on tap. The best nachos Iβve ever had in New Zealand. Best location. Must have nachos when in Taupo.
Have been enjoying PnG for many years as we visit once or twice a year from Wairarapa. Excellent renovations, nice to see permanent duty manager behind bar. Music should change back to what was played years ago, 1960s and early 70's when the place really rocked and volume up a tad. Highly recommende
