First time dining here, nice ambiance and great staff friendly and knowledgeable with the menu. Service was excellent and the meals were on the mark, had a Fillet Mignion was cooked to perfection and the sides were exceptional. Great list of craft beers which were local and excellent. Definitely recommend it for the future.
Wow, what a great little place. Atmosphere was great and it was nice and warm thanks to the log burner sitting in the dining room. Service was casual and wait staff were attentive and knowledgable. Food was excellent also, starting with the sweetbreads followed by the steak I could not fault it. Pizza menu looks delicious also, am thinking of going back again tonight and trying it! Highly recommend : )
Had a fab meal last night. Garlic Prawns, then the 1/2 Cray. Banoffee Pizza for dessert. I think this has to be one of the nicest meals we have had for a long time.
Service was very good, well done to you all. We will be back when next in Taupo !

We just stopped for lunch and shared a Pepperoni pizza between us, but if we're ever in the Area near Acacia Bay again we'll seek this place out again for a bigger feed.
Sometimes you walk into a place and can just tell it's going to be good. Everything's clean (including the toilets!), and the staff seem invested, like they really enjoy the food they're serving. Couldn't recommend it more!
We stopped here for dinner last night and we loved it so much we came back again for dinner tonight. The food was fantastic - would highly recommend the lamb ribs!! The staff were friendly and the perfect level of attentive. Every staff member was clearly passionate about their job.
Sadly we’re moving on with our travels tomorrow before heading home to the UK but we will definitely be returning to Taupo in the future especially for the lamb ribs at The Bay Bar and Brasserie!
Delicious food and yummy icecream for dessert. The restaurant was in walking distance to our B&B. Definitely would come again!

Nice place if you are close by. Staff was nice, the food was good, salad could be fresher and the location is what it is. But overall a nice experience.
My partner and I love coming here to relax, and I mostly enjoy their Thomas & Rose Watermelon cider and he has the Waikato draught beer (on tap). Janine and Jason are always very friendly and welcoming. We don't mind driving out specifically to the Bay instead of the other bars in town as they definitely have the best curly fries and the best wood fired pizzas in Taupo! We always enjoy our time here, as there's always good vibes all around no matter what day or time we arrive. Great job team! 👌🏻
Stopped in on our way home from a walk around the bays and had a absolutely wonderful experience with the staff and especially the food, (flavours to die for). Highly recommend
We were walk ins on the Sunday over Waitangi weekend. The manager found us a table and we were very pleasantly surprised. I had the steak and my wife had the duck - both were excellent. Add in a couple of great cocktails, all at a reasonable price, combined with friendly service - what more could you ask for? If only every pub was as good as this! Highly recommended.

Food - 5 stars - The ceviche was amazing and I had food envy when the lamb shoulder came out; the steak was cooked to perfection as well as our pork belly. The kids enjoyed their menu and their curly fries. Thanks to the Chef and the fronthouse team esp Sine for a wonderful night enjoyed by all.
Great food. Got pizzas and a crème brûlée and they were both 10/10. Service was awesome, the girls that served us were very clear about wait times and apologetic as one of the chefs had to leave for medical reasons. Would 100% recommend and to the owner, you’ve got great staff so you are very lucky
We had an amazing meal. The staff were awesome. They couldn't do enough for you. There was a group who could have made a little less noise. Despite that it is well worth a us using it on a regular bassis
Walked in on a Thursday night without a booking and were told we could have a table for an hour. Come 30 minutes later, they had worked their magic and reshuffled some tables and we had our table for the night. Excellent food and service all night. Hats off to Ally our waitress, she was superb the whole night. Highly recommend but would advise booking!!
This place is awesome great service, great food. I was happy sitting on the Bar side and the staff always ask if I need a top up which is great. The owner is great very friendly and was happy to answer any questions I had. I most certainly will be in again :) and the short bar lady owner is my favourite.
