Good place to have breakfast and will be going back to try dinner. We ordered salmon w avocado eggs bene on potato rosti with smoothies. Good service - order at counter after being seated. Friendly staff and nice and cozy after a very cold Taupo day!
The views here are absolutely gorgeous! Over looking the boardwalk on the lake with the mountains!

There were a few vegetarian options on the menu. The veggie burger was good!
What a hidden treasure this place is. On the lakefront, plenty of space and great decor. But the best thing is the healthy, delicious and inexpensive meals and drinks. Jane was awesome, good service, attentive. You need to try it out! Will definitely be back soon.
Had a great breakfast at Taste! My husband and I ordered modified breakfasts and they were very willing to accommodate. Service was quick and attentive and everything was delicious! Had a beautiful dining experience with lake views, would definitely go back!
I had the French toast with banana and bacon. Was delicious and cooked perfectly with crispy bacon. I also had a Vegan Pinacolada smoothie which also did not disappoint. Staff was lovely and we got seated straight away, they also came to check on our meals too which was nice. Unfortunately they don’t offer table service, so you have to order your food and coffee at the counter, which is a pain if you are in a group and it causes the counter to be crowded, especially if your in line with other cafe customers.
Went for breakfast! Had egg on toast, tomato and chives soup and custard slice. A bit pricey, the egg was pure fried with no seasoning :( hash browns were $3 each. Otherwise the food was ok, loved the custard slice. The ladies were really friendly though :)
Very friendly staff, great atmosphere and view of the lake with a large outdoor patio good in the summer & winter. Large menu selection to choose from!
The BEST Eggs Benny Ive had ever for breakfast, liked if so much bought friends back for Dinner, the chicken salad was equally awesome.

Recommend!! We visited this morning (9 of us in total) and after walking round and reading menus decided to pop in. All Breakfasts were lovely, well cooked and yum! Drinks were nice and staff were extremely friendly and accommodating with allergies/dietary that we had. Clean toilets! And There is a play area for the kiddies which was great for our little ones. Thanks heaps
