Amazing food, accompanied by a great selection of drinks. Very lovely staff who would look after you and the outdoor seating was just lovely with natural plants and decor. Superb location which has good views and a stone’s throw away from Lake Taupo.
Taupō’s best hidden local gem! Their pastries are the best in NZ. Such a gorgeous vibe with the cosy fit out, & views of the lake. We love the bistro! Both breakfast and dinner menus are delicious. Fresh season produce. Highly recommend you pop in.
Delicious breakfast/brunch amongst leafy enclosed terrace with glorious views of lake and mountains. Turkish eggs, Duck hash and smashed avocado all fab. Perfect coffees too. Highly recommend .
After a long day meeting new people, it was topped off with an awesome experience at the lake Bistro, so good that ten strangers became one. Keep up the good work.

Great restaurant, excellent service, great for hosting a meeting day as well. Exceeded expectations all around - A team that seemed to enjoy their surroundings, their jobs and helping with a smile. Food was delish and there's not a fault I could find. I'll happily rebook.

Delicious food served on the terrace. Despite being late winter the heating was excellent, we had a large group of 9 and everyone had a very enjoyable evening.
Lovely restaurant, amazing fresh food, great menu, it was hard to decide what to order. Our kids loved the kids menu and their meals and they had a fresher touch than most kids menus we have experienced so far during our five weeks of travel.. We have now dined here twice for dinner during our stay
We were a group of 18 and we had a great dinner, excellent internal decor and most importantly, great food. I would highly recommend the Lake Bistro.
Stopped in for coffee while out walking, lovely setting but not super pushchair friendly. Nice coffee, comfortable seating friendly service.
We loved our evening together with good friends and great food. I had the pork and it was cooked well but I would of liked some vegetables with my pork belly to make it a more balanced meal. Great service and friendly staff.

We had a wonderful time. The Maître d was smiling and pleasant. All the other staff were just as helpfull and welcoming.
The cocktails we had were well presented and delicious as was all the food.
