Casual pub. Good customer service, staff are friendly. I have ordered lamb shank and my bf ordered steak. Great portions and tasted great. Good money value for the food and drinks.

Some days all you want is a G&T and a cheese and onion toasting and these people did an awesome job on both!!!
Friendly, excellent food and prices that make sense plus a good range of beers. Away from Taupo's tourist scene, it's worth seeking out. It's far from glitzy but it's an honest Kiwi pub supported by it's locals.
Amazing bar very clean, has a huge gaming room and TAB room. Also offers food and a huge selection of drinks not to forget the most friendliest staff and service around taupo.

After having lunch at what is perceived to be one of Taupo top restaurants, where the chairs were far to trendy to sit on, the pork belly still running on the pig I stoped at the “ lizard” on the way home and immediately it dawned on me that the staff were sincere the place real and the stools comfo
Not the flashiest place but bar staff were really nice. Arrived after last call and he still served us all and held off closing so we could have a chat. Top bloke.
