The fish and chips were great. I just wish that they would include the tartar sauce and ketchup giving how expensive it is. Having said that, the amount of food was pretty generous.

While I was there a friend that I had not seen for awhile ordered before me at first I didn't recognize him because of the mask he was wearing but when I heard his voice I knew him l tapped him on the shoulder he finished ordering then I ordered we went out side and caught up on what had been happening since we last met while we waited for our orders
I don't normally do fish..a fresh cooked piece of gurnard was absolutely delicious.. would be happy to eat at Bobby's any day

Hands down THE BEST fish and chips we've ever had in New Zealand - we were in Tauranga visiting from Christchurch over the weekend and Bobby's was recommended by some locals. We were not disappointed! Our snapper was cooked perfectly - it had a delicious lightly crunchy batter and was soft and flavorsome inside. The chips were out of this world good and their service here was prompt and cheerful. From odering to receiving our food only took around 15 minutes, but we'd be willing to wait longer if we had to because it was just SO GOOD! Next time we're here we'll definitely be back! Absolutely recommend!
