It was thirsty work being dragged around shopping for holiday outfits ;-) so we were tempted into Boswells by the look of their delicious smoothie poster and boy did they hit the spot! I decided to have a pot of tea for a change. It was a good cuppa and at nice low price. There were n't many people about the place that time but I don't hold it against them. The rest of the Kingsway area was quiet as well.
Me and my husband had beautiful slice of cake and drinks. Staff was really helpful aswell. We also had our beautiful granddaughter along for day.
Got the chicken bacon cheese toastie & tuna melt toastie with a cappuccino, the cappuccino was one of the best I’ve had. food was also very nice. I’d come back, staff very friendly

Great place to go for a quiet snack or lunch in the middle of Newport. With good reasonably price food, and lovely staff.
Food is always good here. Atmosphere is relaxed although a bit noisy at times. The hardest thing is finding a table to sit at to eat.
A lovely cafe. Cakes lovely and fresh. Very nice sandwiches too and nice salad with them. The sandwiches are made to order so you get the best. You definitely get your money's worth. Best of all, the staff are a lovely friendly caring bunch.
Always great service and gorgeous coffee. The coconut milk lattes here are perfect and the food is always great for lunch

Nice place to sit with friends for a catch up, can get noisy during busy times. Food is lovely, but they should cover their pastries.
The best thing about this cafe is the staff. They are so friendly and helpful, nothing is too much trouble. Service is also very quick and there's a good selection of food available. My husband particularly loves the flat white coffee.
Excellent spacious cafe. Been going for years and the food is always very nicely made. Also, the service is good and friendly, and the seating is very comfortable (especially the sofas!). Plus it's always very clean in the cafe area and toilets. Can't fault the place :-)
Hot chocolate are a must here go for the deluxe and the caramel latte deluxe both are less than £4.50 each large

My partner and I each had a sandwich and a cake. The staff were very friendly and the food very tasty. The sandwiches were made fresh so didn't mind having to wait a little bit for them.
