Great place for dinner - food was very good. Do yourself a favour and order desert because it's all house made and all great.

We came here mid-afternoon when other places in Te Anau weren’t yet serving. It was during school holidays, so there was a crowd of tourists all wanting service. The server had to keep a hundred balls in the air all at once, but she did a terrific job of it and kept a smile on her face throughout. We had a cheeseburger with bacon, onion rings, and a side salad, then we followed it with hot chocolate mud cake with ice cream covered with fudge sauce. We were so impressed that we came back 2 days later and had Loaded Nachos with chili and beans. Great Hazed and Confused IPAs accompanied both meals. We really enjoyed both times and would come again often if we lived in Te Anau.

Nice food with generous serving. The seafood chowder was filling on its own. Steak tasted good with nice salad. Worth a try when in Te Anau.

Good burger, my wife said the land fry was very good, but yuck! Good beer selection. Only problem is that they are about the only place open in Te Anau on Monday and Tuesday, so there was about 30 minute wait.

Great atmosphere.ake sure you book in advance. We ordered a half kg of mussels which came In a delicious seafood/cheese chowder which we thoroughly enjoyed. We order rib eye rare and venison steaks to share. The vension steak had a game texture and taste which is to be expected. The rib eye I would give 5 star for taste, 5 star for cooking 2 star for cut. The Pavlova was well priced but did not come with a base or meringue? Perhaps this is normal for pavlovas in NZ (coming from having Aus Pavs)

Happy we stopped by. Plan to have a bite. Turned out to be great meals. Wonderful and fascinating flavors. From the mussels, loaded chips, venison, blue cod, lamb shanks, and salmon. With home made cheese cake and pecan pie for finale. Mwah! The service, amazing!

Had the roast lamb and vegetables and other was very good. They have a wide range of dishes though the lamb offered a good option with the vegetable sides. The lamb was nice and the side vegetables were very good and tasty. Happy to visit again. Overall good value and service.

We arrived on a really busy night with no booking & were advised we could wait at the bar for an hour for a table which we were happy to do. After ordering a drink and waiting ~15 mins we had had a table available to us. Staff were all extremely helpful, attentive and accommodating. Food was delicious. Had the steaks which were both flavoursome & cooked well. Then shared pavlova for dessert which was quite nice and a very large service so sharing was a good call. Overall this place has great service, great atmosphere and decent food. Recommend if you’re in the area😊(Plenty of gluten free options available).

This meal kept me going on my 3 day Kepler track, as I kept thinking about the Fjordlands venison which was cooked perfectly, and green lipped mussels. Also had pavlova for the first time and very much enjoyed it. Our server was extremely warm and gave excellent recommendations, especially with the great selection of local drafts. Loved the vibe that brings locals and out-of-towners together.
