We randomly chose this coffee shop after soaking in the hot springs nearby, but it turned out to be a fantastic find. The location is very close to the hot spring store, and through the coffee shop's windows, you can see a nearby small park. The decor of the coffee shop is very retro, and there is a dedicated space for displaying the town's history. This coffee shop must have been here for a long time.
We ordered the beef burger and chicken mushroom pasta, as well as the mixed berry smoothie and banana milkshake. The drinks were both visually appealing and delicious. The pasta had a great flavor, with rich cheese. The beef burger was particularly noteworthy, as the bread seemed to be baked by the coffee shop itself, and the beef patty was incredibly juicy. We loved it! We highly recommend this place to anyone visiting Te Aroha town. Don't miss out on this hidden gem!
Great location and food is great
Will come back again next time
We had the mini breakfast which was amazing value for the money. The eggs were very rich. A Lovely ambience with the fire going and great service. Very clean. Park at the bottom and walk through the beautiful Domain if you can. Parking outside the cafe easy during the week.
Delicious food and good portions - recommend the vegetarian pasta! Friendly staff and cozy Cafe!
Very, peaceful location with great views. It is now my favorite places for a coffee break while working. The views of the park are very restful, the staff are efficient and unobtrusive, the villa is beautiful. There is (almost ) always parking outside though being a small town it is reasonable walk from my office.
Lovely location and view. Pretty cottage interior. Very relaxing atmosphere. Friendly service. Delicious food, nice large hot chocolates. What more could you want?
We visit Te Aroha once or twice a year and always have lunch in this cafe after climbing the mountain and the spa. Delicious food and good hospitality. One of the reasons that we visit Te Aroha. Highly recommend:)
Went there for lunch after the hot water spa. The food is okay but nothing special and the price is not so affordable.
Nice place to stop for brunch. Friendly and quick service, fast food, lovely location.
Always wanted to stop in. Found time today. Lovely old house. Warm and tasty food. Good coffee. Greeted with birdsong from the hills behind.
Staff are lovely! Such a homely little Cafe with decent food.
We popped in on two days and we're greeting with big smiles and attentive service staff. The food from the kitchen is delicious, and the sweet and savoury baked goodies in the display cabinet taste fresh too.
It can get busy so if you're from out of town - like we are - then remember you're in the country so it's a good time to relax and chat and enjoy their batista made coffee.
A total jewel in the Domains crown. Vanessa and Eddie are a seamless double act and work so hard. The food never disappoints, gorgeous location, sweeping views, period building, friendly staff, a perfect place to eat.
