Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff, and a pleasant atmosphere. Then there was the cute factor of a very sleepy cat :)

Just finished cycling the rail-trail (brilliant!) and we thought we deserved a little drink. Stumbled on this place and couldn’t be happier. Lovely traditional UK pub look / feel, friendly staff and the spirit of the town represented (newspaper articles re the towns history on the wall). Would recommend and in all likelihood we’ll be back.

Pleasant environment but better to sit towards back door if you prefer quiet, and there are a group in the bar. Happy with the menu, and great to have a choice of a cauliflower mash rather than potato mash or chips. Enjoyed the vegetables, but chose lamb shank, and it was over cooked. Good generous dessert. Would go again

Went for queens birthday lunch on Sunday for two of us. Great service. The southern chicken as starter was beautiful and huge. The chicken salad was awesome and big as well. Would definitely visit again.

Good yummy food and the best tasting smoothie I've had. I'll go back every time I'm in Te Aroha.

My husband and I were just driving through town and we heard the live music so decided to stop and have a late lunch. This was the best pub we found on our 3 week holiday. The food was amazing and the staff were fantastic. What a great local pub!

Loved the guiness beers, the live music band and atmosphere. It's really pumped with prices that are good for drinks. The meals could be larger for the prices we paid ie. $14 for a small plate of nachos. However, We will be going back again for the ambiance of dining experience.

Great atmosphere, fabulous service , good wine and food prices. Recomend "Sausage and Mash" local sausage not precooked real mash pots and gravy made with chicken stock. Well worth the drive on a wet Sunday. Well done you guys.

This is a cosy little pub, cafe and restaurant housed in lovely historic bank building on the main street. It has a warm convivial atmosphere and nice food. A good place to find an evening meal when most of Te Aroha town is closed.

Family friendly, welcoming with great food. What more can you ask for?! Popped in on Saturday evening to watch the rugby, a couple of dads, a couple of mums and a large posy of kids. We were made to feel very welcome. Popped in again for lunch and will return next time in Te Aroha.

The food is fresh made, service excellent and the owners on site with a chat and hello for everyone. Great place to stop in for a cuppa and a read of a paper or from their range of books. They have a lovely setup here.

1 word... AMAZING! Service, food, drink, venue, entertainment in the form of sports on screen and from time to time a small performance from a local aspiring musician c: All AMAZING! Really love the warm close homely feel and friendly staff really create a rapore and enjoy what they do! Definitely shows in there big smiles and great attitude at work :) will most definitely be back and recommend to my circles as it is a brilliant overall place to eat or have a couple beers and enjoy the footy! Dinners or lunches are where it's at, I even had my aunty come in with me with her little dog cos of the lovely outdoor area close to the trees at the back! P.S the dessert menu is yummmmy always! I dare you to have a coffee and brownie 2 last words SOO GOOD!!!
