Excellent experience. Family friendly and causal but with a positive and deep desire for good wine. Tim (the founder and owner) took time to show us his vineyards, press operations, barreling, and other operations. I’ve been to several other tastings, toured other wineries, and Tim and his Clearview Winery are a cut above all! Highly recommend this stop. Wines are of course delicious and complex, but not overwhelming or pretentious. Had a great time!
Excellent location near the sea and great service. All the staff were very friendly and the meals at our table looked amazing and everyone really enjoyed what they had. I'll definately be going back.
We had an epic long lunch. Bailey was totally on point with her banter and helping to create a wonderful lunch. The staff were so accommodating when we moved outside and then back in as the day grew colder. Thank you to Kevin and all the staff that made a lunch out an experience that we loved.
Delightful food and wine. Perfect serving size. Great service. It has been a while since my last visit due to the pandemic, but I am so glad I booked for my birthday celebration.

We had a fabulous time here last week. A group of 5 of us had a delicious wine tasting, hosted by two of the friendly male waiters. They were both knowledgeable about the wines and happy to entertain our novice questions. Based on which ones we enjoyed more than the others they even let us taste two more that weren't on our tasting menu. Those two were the two we liked best and we all left with bottles of wine, impressed with the wonderful service we received. It was a slightly chilly day - but the blankets provided at the outside tables was a thoughtful touch.
This was one of our last stops on our bike wine tour. We were absolutely starving and arrived to it being fully booked. One of the wait staff managed to arrange a platter for us to do along with wine tasting. They were honestly so busy but the service we got for a place that we shouldn’t have got into was amazing. The platter was delicious as well.
Would recommend this place but would recommend booking in advance to not be disappointed.
I went here for lunch on Saturday of Waitangi weekend and had the most lovely waitress serve our table. My best friend and I were there celebrating our birthdays and had the best time. We had a delicious lunch (I got the seafood linguine) and we shared a bottle of Clearview sparkling blush which was divine. I look forward to going back. Thank you!
The wines are a great price by the bottle and the setting is charming and relaxed and you could easily spend an afternoon here drinking and enjoying the food and surrounds. Nice customer service in the restaurant and a good menu on offer. Clearview is a local icon and definitely worth a visit.
Blair at the cellar door was an absolute legend and made our trip to Clearview so memorable! We tasted all the wines at an outside table overlooking the vineyards, and we are now experts in wine thanks to Blair! Thank you for your passion and enthusiasm, my partner and I had such a fun day and we learnt so much. Hopefully the 3 bottles we bought will make it back to Australia (I’ve already finished the Riesling !!!).
Also compliments to the chef, our eye fillet was cooked so perfectly and just what we needed. We will be recommending clearview to everyone, thanks again!

Exquisite. The food was delicious. The staff very friendly. Was a little chilly inside though. For that, I had to leave a star off the review. The winners on the day were the 2 men delivering the wine tasting. They were extremely knowledgeable and totally drew you in with their expertise. They were very impressionable and definitely knew their wines. We walked away with 1/2 dozen bottles. That’s for a great visit, Clearview. We will be back for sure
Called in here with my family The venue and setting were stunning and the wines beautiful. Blair who took our order was next level 👌 very knowledgeable super friendly and carried well, 10/10 .
Good platters (about 55-60 NZD each), suitable for 2-3 people. There was a choice of different wine tasting sets, 6 glasses for 15-25 NZD. Friendly service and nice setting.
We had a wonderful tasting today. Bryan was a phenomenal host, explaining us all the different wines and taking a lot of time for our questions. Very laid back winery estate, great wines. It's a pity they don't export to Europe yet.

Came in and had a wine tasting while we were waiting for our table to become ready. The owner personally took as through all the wines on their list. The passion and knowledge he had was fantastic, he then ensured we weren't left waiting for a table and brought us to the table as soon as it was ready. The lady who then served us was equally as helpful and attentive through our meal. She then came and took photos of us in the vines after our meal. The food was also excellent.
