Lovely location. Very popular and busy. Excellent customer service. It's brilliant you are able to book a table. I ordered pork noodle salad. It was OK, not enough pork. Food prices are, in my opinion, rather expensive.

Beautiful seaside cafe and restaurant, serene and cosy. We brought out dog, sat outside and it was very nice. Tasty food, generous portions. There's a lot of character inside the restaurant too. Highly recommended.

Hygge is a very nice place to enjoy a meal. The food is delicious, with a varied and interesting menu. The food in the display case is also delicious. You cannot beat the atmosphere it is situated by the Bay and it's beautiful. We definitely enjoyed our time here. Thank you

An absolutely stunning place. Waiters were kind and lovely, a bit forgetful and clumsy at times, but very nice. The food was good, Burger was not special, just a good burger. Beef cheek was tender and nice, quite salty. Overall, this place is good.

We just popped in for an ice-cream whilst on a bike ride. It's a great spot with friendly staff. Eclectic decor and great views. Lots of room outside.

What a great cafe. Nice drive out there, great outlook across Hawke Bay and along the Cape Cliffs plus delicious food. Seating indoor or outdoor this cafe has atmosphere plus. Perfect for families as room for children to run around and play. Cyclists & bikers would enjoy the ride. Plenty of walking tracks before or after a relaxing break with coffee or a wine & meal or snack from a varied menu including a children's menu. Friendly efficient staff. Excellent venue to take your visitors. Not essential to book but would pay to if you were a big party booking as it gets pretty busy.

Hygge is a cute weekend chillax spot , driving out to the cafe on the beach is real nice. They have a good selection of affordable everyday cabinet food and more fancy menu food. When its busy it can take a fair bit of time for food to come out. Very popular spot and beautiful grounds.

First time to eat at Hygge and we'll be back. The seafood chowder was nice and creamy with ample pieces inside. The fish and chips was great and not dry. The mull wine was not spicy enough.
