Being hungry in the middle of nowhere is unpleasant. Then finding this bake house made my day. Ordered a cheese omelette and was delicious and made quickly. The place was clean and well organised. There is a variety of sweet and sour food, good with their coffee. Worth a visit.

Friendly staff, quick service, oat milk latter was great and the bathroom was handy. Seating was a bit dated but otherwise really nice. I think one really nice thing was the staff were very quick in their service. It was busy but they did great! Always appreciative when it comes to diligent staff 💯
Stopped in to the Bakehouse Cafe while travelling through Te Kauwhata. Really nice staff who were helpful and attentive. Enjoyed eating my bacon and eggs breakfast, and strong hot coffee. Totally happy with the service and food.
Brilliant range of food and drinks. Fish and chips, Chinese, burgers, steaks, chicken and chips, pies, and the usual sweet pastries.
I had the sirloin steak with mushroom, egg, chips and salad. Along with a litre of juice it came to $26.
It was just right, and I had eaten enough to be full, when my mother in law passed on some French toast. Sweet and delicious.
My sweetheart found her steak too big to finish, so it is in a doggie bag.
Great place to stop off on the way to work (Hamilton). My son loves the sausages and it’s always got a good selection for when I feel like something extra.

Great little place. Heaps of variety and food is consistently good. The raw fish is to die for. The staff are so friendly and helpful. We drive all the way from Auckland just to eat there sometimes. This is the one on the 4 Square side
