We stop here every time we're travelling north, great, simple home made food, clean and comfortable surroundings.

Now this cafe/nursery is under new ownership it has been cleaned up and rejuvenated. The food is simple but freshly made. The pies are unbelievable. The muffins are usually freshly baked as we arrive for our coffee. Great atmosphere, so keep up the good work.

What a little gem! Only found this place recently even though I've been travelling down to Waihi and the Coromandel for about the last 40 years and never noticed it before. Great coffee, good food, amazing homemade pies and a great outdoor setting too. We make this our stop every time now.

Never had a negative experience here & try & call in on the way from Auckland to Coromandel/Thames/Whangamata/Tauranga.
Plenty of parking around the back and seems to be always popular.
The coffee & the food & service are excellent.

Such an awesome place to stop for a bite to eat! Pet friendly, welcoming atmosphere & food was amazing! & fast service. prices are very fair for quality of food served too! We all left with full tummies & thoroughly enjoyed our food! Eggs benni, panini's & corn fritters.. all amazing!

Stopped to grab a pie on route to Auckland. First time ever eating here. The lamb roast with veges pie and the steak and cheese were delicious and the pastry was great. Only criticism is the mint sauce flavour was a little heavy in the lamb pie. Will definitely be back!

Great staff, cheerful, friendly and BOY! can they cook! You have to try the roast lamb pie, it's to die for. Good coffee too. Take a break, go into the Native Tree Cafe, you won't regret it.

Excellent steak pie and lovely salad for lunch. Such a good spot. Bacon sandwich was also very tasty but missing some chips! Enjoyed the short shorts, too!

Great little cafe to stop at along the highway for pies, breakfast, sandwiches, toasties, salads, desserts, amazing coffee and tea drinks, and a good selection of cold drinks. The service is always quick and friendly. They have indoor and outdoor seating. There are items available for purchase, like local honey, olive oils, dressings, jellies and jams, and ice cream treats. Milk, dairy items, fresh eggs, and fresh vegetables are also available for purchase. Vegetarian and gluten-free options are available, too. One of our favorite stops while traveling around New Zealand!

We ordered the open faced steak salad sandwich and the garden salad with chicken and they tasted very good. Toilets are for paying customers and they’re clean. We’ll be getting coffee and cakes on the way out. They’re closed on Christmas and Boxing Day. They have decaf coffee too and Icecream

I had a Steak Pie and a Pork Pie. Should have taken a picture sooner but the food was so delicious I couldn't stop myself. Staff is incredibly nice, plenty of seating, and a clean environment. Food and coffee are made right in front of you. Fantastic experience, highly recommended!

Great place to stop on the way to Tauranga. Gorgeous garden with birds all around, rain cover and kids corner. Lots of interesting spaces, ranging from sunny outdoors to cosy indoor. I had the honey nut slice which was delicious! Busy cafe but doesnt feel crowded. Highly recommend.

Very nice set up with friendly staff. Coffee and food was good, but expect to pay little more for food here. Should work on breakfast dish design, specially on eggs on toast, which looks poor. Although Bacon and eggs on toast were delicious!.
