Our family came upon this cafe by accident a while ago and have been back since. Both times the staff were so friendly and the food so delicious that we now recommend it as a cafe to visit!
Nice cafe in little Tuakau. The chef was more than happy to make something vegan for me and it was delicious! We will definitely be back! π

We have stopped at Chez Bean cafe twice now and had their fish and chips. Service has been excellent and the fish perfectly cooked in a light and crispy batter that is awesome. The wasabi in the coleslaw is an excellent addition. Highly recommended.
Probably the friendliest cafe in Franklin. The staff are always welcoming and friendly. Great coffee, great food, nice atmosphere. Highly recommended.
Chez Bean Cafe is my absolute favourite cafe to visit in tuakau and pukekohe, it has the friendliest staff that do everything to make your experience as pleasurable as possible, the food is amazing and it has such good variety and choices. They also have a very good sale board where you can get good meals for as little as $10. The drinks are also amazing, the hot chocolates are to die for and so are their cold drinks. Would recommend to anyone and I will continue to go here for a long time.
I've been to Chez Bean Cafe many times since it has opened and I can honestly say I have never been let down by the food or service.
The staff are always lovely and accommodating. Yesterday I had a restaurant lose my booking of 25 for my birthday dinner which was due to start at 7pm and this was 5pm, and we rang up Chez Bean and they were more than happy to help me out at such sort notice, for which I am so greatful.
The food once again was amazing. Definitely the best place to go in tuakau. Very highly recommend it.
Very friendly staff, good menu with lots of options plus a nice filled cabnet. The gelato icecream is amazingly good! This place is really cosy, you could sit here all day!
I have visited Chez Bean several times for both coffee and scones and also meals. This has to be the best place in Tuakau for food and friendly staff. The prices are reasonable and the loyalty card for coffees is good for our frequent trips. The food is made on site, you will not be disappointed. Gluten free also catered for.
Nice warm little cafe that offers great coffee, a small selection of cabinet food plus a nice range of menu items.
The log fire inside is a definite bonus on a cold day.
I enjoyed a couple of coffees (both were excellent) plus the breakfast bap, which to be fair was decent but could have benefited from some additional saucing.
Overall it's a two thumbs up from me
Amazing cafe tucked away in Tuakau. Food, service and coffee was delicious! Service was one of the best and nothing was to much trouble. It was a very cold morning but they had a lovely warm fire going. Definitely worth a stop.
Stopped here randomly after going for a for around the area and glad we stopped by here.
The service was good and our breakfast was delicious and so was our hot drinks. We also took some cookies to takeaway which tasted just as good.
Great selection of food in there menu and in the food capnet that i need to come back again and try there lunch menu.
Food and drinks were very delicious. Chicken was moist and crunchy, not drenching in oil. Brioche bun was toasted beautifully. The fried egg was perfect- with runny yolk, which I liked. The salad was also very tasty. Double win for the drinks that were served with a marshmallow and a chocolate fish! But servers don't smile :( The toilets were also a bit dirty. One had lights that weren't working.
I google searched cafe and chez bean was reccomended when I was traveling into tuakau.

I ordered the creamy mushrooms π on toast and delicious π and sweet corn Fritters π½ π absolutely π― loved it.
I will be coming back if I'm out this way again.
Great Lβaffare coffee, quick service, and very friendly staff - including a little biscuit on the top of the lid! Would definitely recommend if visiting Tuakau.
A wonderful place a super calm and tasty breakfast. The ambience there is simple perfect to to enjoy a good brekkie and read a book.
I would recommend the brioche French toast a good cup of flat white. They have some really good egg options too. Definitely a must try if you driving to Hamilton
Unassuming on the outside, you could easily pass by. Don't! BEAUTIFUL breakfast, attentive and friendly staff, nice toilets, fun cups for your tea, this is my new favourite place. Stop by. They even have old books for sale for a dollar. Quirky and awesome. Perfect start to our road trip β€
Beautiful Cafe, we had an amazing breakfast, wich was served quick even though there was a big group. In my opinion the best coffee in half a year New Zealand.
Friendly staff always smiling & polite, Chef Johnny on point every time from his hot & well presented flavorsome selection of food, desserts and coffee π₯π― you know I'll always return. 10/10 π

My son and I went here on a one off because we we're passing through. The set up is lovely and chairs comfortable. The menu was cute and the options simple but nice.
The price was normal and doable for us.
The guy that made my coffee got it on point twice and my son had a chocolate milkshake which he absolutely loved.
All in all it was a nice experience, customer service great π I didn't 100% my eggs Benny, it was really tangy but that's just my taste buds so nothing really they can do about that.

There are very good coffee and delicious foods. The chef cooks himself. Also cosy interrior.
One of our most favourite cafes!! Love to see smiling faces, food and service is great! Caters for all ages, including very well presented fluffies for the kids. Thanks heaps! Will continue to be loyal customers π₯°
